I don't know what "normal" would be, but I drink water ALL DAY. Water & Crystal light are the only things I drink now with the occassional cup of coffee in the morning (with non-dairy creamer & sweet & low of course!) I really drink it because it helps me feel full when I'm feeling hungry & I avoid eating to keep that "empty" feeling away, I have water instead. it's working so far, except the frequency of my trips to the bathroom is a little annoying due to all the water I drink!
A lot. Usually 4 48-ounce jugs a day. But my body uses a TON of water (more than standard, I think...especially because people in my family SWEAT when they work out, and I do my cardio every day and lose a TON of water), so this is based all on following medical recommendations for urine color (gross, yes). I aim for pale yellow, not clear, and I need a TON of water to get there.
Yep. This is me. I have a 64 gal container on my desk and I drink at 2 of those a day plus whatever I drink at the gym (usually another 20oz bottle) and probably another 2 or 3 16 oz glasses at home in the evening.
The only thing is that it's hard for me to judge via urine color, since I take a whole foods multi vitamin that turns my urine a bright greenish yellow (I know - lovely! ). So every now and then I skip the vitamin and just double check to make sure.
90-100 oz. per day to feel good. I have a 32 oz. water bottle that goes with me everywhere. I'll chug one down immediately after a hard cardio workout and space the rest out over the day & night.
Not to sound like a worry wart but one of the 1st signs of diabetes is thirst-sometimes unquenchable thirst. I have worked in healthcare for 15+ years and this is the one symptom that people first notice. OK-I'm not giving advice but it may be worth taking a look into, also-is anyone in your family(blood related)a diabetic?
The rest of the bloggers are correct-way too much water for a healthy intake. 6-8 is reasonable depending on how much you are putting out(ex-sweat, vomiting, diarrhea(sorry!)
Please keep us posted.
Usually, I keep a gallon full in the refridgerator and by the time I go to bed it's almost gone. So, I guess about a gallon a day, which is a lot. I'm always thirsty.
I'm never craving water.. it's sort of just a habit for me or something. I want to drink as much water as I can to fluch out my body and maintain hunger. I know I dont have diabetes... but I just dont know what amount of water is right for me. I seem to lose so much faster the moe water i drink too. But it's defnot worth passingout!
Be careful if you're drinking more than like 90oz because you could get hyponatremia which can be very deadly. So, while water is good for you, too much can be toxic.
