  • I am still up...
Here it is nearly 3am and I am still up.
And what makes it even worse.... my carpet never got cleaned.

i just kept finding so much that needed done more.
Husband's favorite work clothes needed washed, paperwork I put off, bills to find. and of course... a few things for the bedroom too.
Well .. now I am going to bed. Hopefully I will get to clean the living room carpet tomorrow... if not... oh well. I can't get it all done. I can either pay for another day... or do it another day.. or pay someone else to do it... or just forget it all together. The choice will be decided after a nights sleep.

    Good night... ZZzzzz
  • Wow 2Cute...you make me exhausted just reading your posts this morning! Today I am going to tackle the rest of the laundry and clean my son's room. I bought some rug cleaner to use until we rent the machine. It has high traffic areas and dog vomit stains! For some reason the dog likes to upchuck in the baby's room! Yuk..I know...too much information first thing this morning!
Sounds like you got yourself quite a man there....I too have to leave the situation because I get suggestive too...(I like that word!)

Malia....sounds like you had a relaxing day again! It was in the high 70's here yesterday and the next 3 days will be in the 80's and sunny! I love the spring weather!! I am going to take my son outside or to the park today for sure!

Baylee you sound like you have a day planned for yourself. Thats the way to success...planning planning planning!!

Mary would have lost control on the cheese platter and the nuts. Two of my favorite foods!!

Well its time to get the little boy some breakfast...see if he throws it on the floor again this time! My little angel has suddenly turned into a little brat!

I'll be back later! Have a great OP kind of day to day!

    Michelle
  • Good Morning!
Wow! We are a productive bunch, aren't we? 2cute, you definitely win the prize though! Your room sounds great, I'd LOVE to re-do my bedroom...starting with a new mattress...my back is KILLING me this morning!! I know it's not just the mattress, I spent quite a few hours gardening yesterday...mainly pulling weeds and turning over the soil. prep work for what's to come. Everyone went in different directions yesterday, leaving me to my dirt and weeds...I love it...can't wait to get out there again today...after a couple of Motrin...and exercise...and a trip to the grocery store...I have got to go food shopping...I've put it off all weekend...

I don't think I cooked once the entire weekend. We went out for Japanese food last night...no need to worry about overeating there! I had the most delicious seaweed salad...sounds gross, but it was wonderful...miso soup, sushi, a bit of beef teriyaki, and just had to sample the tempura shrimp (2, plus some tempura veggies)...I swore I would stay away from anything fried, but it looked (and was!) so good!

Monday morning. back on track, right? I have been reading "the Fat Flush Plan" and while there are some interesting ideas about what to eat and when to eat it, I think for now I'm going to stick with good ol' WW. Realistic food. I NEED my carbs! Maybe I don't need so many of them, but I know how to eat within the WW points system, so that is my mission for today...yes today, I'll think about tomorrow, tomorrow (Scarlett here!) For now, I'm going to worry about one day at a time...I'm going to measure out my water for the day, plan my menu, and I'm off to Curves @ 9 am...tomorrow is weigh in/measure/body fat analysis...any change will be one for the better!

Well, I sure have rambled on and on, haven't I? Gotta go feed the boy and get him off to school...I'll be back!
  • Happy Monday Morning all
I am tired for some reason.

Boy 2cute you are a busy lady. I would love to repaint my whole house but I am painted out for right now.

I promised to volunteer at the library some this week . This is National Library Week and we have programs all week.

Well I have to eat breakfast and get dressed. I'll check in later. have a good day ladies.
  • Good Morning everybody! I thought I was up early and would get the first post of this Monday morning, but I should have known better. 2cute is always up before the crack of dawn. Although I don't think it should count because it's just that she hasn't gone to bed yet! The rest of you need to get some sleep, geeze!!!

I got the side windows off and washed and now they're laid out on my dining room table. I didn't get them leaded last night though, just off and washed. I need more ambition.

    TODAY IS A NEW DAY!!!!!!
I don't know about you, but I'm going to give it my best shot.
NO MORE giving in to temptations!
NO MORE disruptions to my program!
    NO MORE eating mindlessly!
    NO MORE distractions!
It is time to move on and get HEALTHY!!!!

Michelle: I've never tried shrimp grilled on skewers. I have copied your seasonings and I will definately try that. I usually add them to stir fry or a seafood salad with crab meat and FF mayo with some celery and onions.

Mary: Sounds like the reception was a great success. And you were too for not eating too much of all that tempting food.

2cute: You wear me out, girlfriend!!! I would have pooped out long ago, and here you are the Energizer Bunny! YIKES! I know that new furniture is going to be lovely and you're really going to enjoy your new decorating. It took me buying and bringing home 5 different comforter sets before we settled on the one we kept. They sure look different on the bed than they do in a bag!

Baylee: Thanks for the info on weightloss programs being tax deductible. I kept hearing on the news that they were, but no particulars on how it was going to work. It is as I suspected though, part of the medical deductions, which we can never take because our health insurance is too good. We'll see if the law prompts insurance companies to cover some of the cost. That would be more beneficial to me than having it be tax deductible.

Malia: That tub, candles and music sounds too good! I'm green with envy that you have the time for such pampering...and quite frankly...that you can get up out of the tub. Once I'm down, I can't get out so it's showers for me!

Katrina: I can't wait to hear about the fruits of your labors at Curves tomorrow. You've been real diligent about going and it's sure to pay off. Those Curves places are sure cropping up all over!

Well girls, it's time to head out to work. I'm doing kid's clothing at Sears today and some exit interviews at Lowe's. Hope you all have a great day!

Oh, I almost forgot, here's what I'm thinking will be my dinners for this week:
Monday: Grilled or baked Salmon, salad, baked potatoes
Tuesday: Beef Roast, roasted potatoes, veggies and salad
    Wednesday: Spaghetti, salad, rolls
Thursday: Stir fry of some sort
Friday and Saturday we're out of town again.......

Now that it's in writing I have committed to doing it and that, my friends, is a start!!!

  • Some days I just can't stay away from here! I just got back from exercise...I feel great. I was going to go grocery shopping, but THIS TIME, I'll eat something first and not go RAVENOUS like I usually do and then eat my way through the bags as I empty them!

Thin...I'm planning my menus for the week too...keeps me on track and makes it easier to shop!
    Monday-pork chops, stuffing, brussels sprouts
Tuesday-grilled chicken breast, brown rice pilaf, broccoli
    Wedneday-lasagne, salad
Thursday-london broil, garlic mashed potatoes, carrots
Friday- grilled shrimp (thanks, Michelle!) sweet potato fries, salad
Saturday/Sunday...something on the grill outside, weather permitting.

I'm making jello sf/ff instant pudding/ff cool whip/low fat graham cracker dessert to keep my sweet tooth happy, maybe I'll pick up some 'skinny cows' too, if they have them!

Mary...I'll bet you're tired! You are one busy woman! Your library is lucky to have you! I love the library, plan on going later today.

Baylee...I'm glad your birthday was nice...do you get to see your grandchildren often? My in laws are in CA, so we usually see them once a year, but my kids are their only grandchildren, so I know it's hard on them! We keep up by sending videos and usually talk once a week on the phone.

2cute...what a man you have there! I've been waiting for new molding in my kitchen since November! Can you send him to NJ for a few days?

Michelle...I remember the "food tossing" days very well! What wasn't on her face was all over the high chair, walls, floor...I don't recall my son being such a little pig though! I hope you keep the camera handy...we do have some priceless shots (good for blackmail as teenagers!)

Tina...is today Wisconsin for you? I always love to hear your progress...you are on a STREAK, woman!

Lucky, where are you, honey? Come see us, we miss you! I hope those tears have turned into smiles and laughter...come here and laugh with (at?) us, we are a comical group!

Malia...boy did you earn that luxurious candlelit bath! You've been a busy little bee! Family members DO have a way of bringing you down though, don't they? I hope not for long though.

Jen, Andria, Duckie...where the heck are you gals? Come on back, let us know what's happening...

I hope I didn't forget anyone...I REALLY have to go now...

    Have a great, OP day!

I'll leave you eith this thought...

  • One more thing...
I just saw this and thought of all of you...

"Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have
    trouble remembering how to fly."

    Thank you, all my angels!
  • It's HERE !!!!!!!
    It's here ... It's here... It's here !!!!!!
They called at 8am and told me they would arrive between 10-12 and they just left at 11am.
    AND I LOVE IT !!!!!
I still don't have time to visit though.
I never did get the carpet cleaned... so I have to do that and return the rug shampooer
I also need to go mail my tax papers. yes... I wait till the LAST minute.
I have a friend that drives to the post office at 10pm April 15th each year to hopefully get on the news. LOL

I am sooo excited !!! I can't wait to make all the final decisions about my new room. Thin you are sooo right. They do look different in the bags. LOL
It will take me a good 2 weeks miniumn I am sure. I have to "see" it before I can make any decisions.

Enough about my bedroom. How about my food?
So far ... so good. I want to thank all of you that share your neat ideas with your meals. It really helps. And I also want to thank you for sharing about your exercise too. It just gives me that "umph" I need. It also helps me to get off this computer a little more and get MOVING.

Well friends... I want to reply to each and everyone of you... but my carpet and my new bedroom awaits me.
  • I'm Back.....
    Hi everyone,

Finally got to come back and visit. Things have been busy and stressful as usual.

I did not get my 50 pound star yet. I didn't go to WW on Saturday. I am a mess. Not that I am doing terrible OP, but I just can't stay motivated. I do well some days and bad others. I need motivation and consistency.

I am still exercising and drinking my water, but not journaling.

Work is still very stressful. It didn't help that it was tax time either, so I had to do my family's taxes and that limited my me time and my family time. I am exhausted after running around all weekend. I had mom-to-mom sales to go to on Saturday and then some more shopping, and then a wedding reception. Sunday was grocery shopping and a bridal shower. What weekend? Next weekend looks just as full. I sure need a vacation.

Anyhow just wanted to saw I missed you all and hope to post regular again.

    Susie
  • Hi everyone! I came back to revamp my statement of NO temptations! How silly of me to think there would be no temptations, just because I said so. Sheesh!

The temptations will never go away. We just need to walk away from them. As I walked out of Sears today somebody was sitting at their desk with Taco Bell. I walked out in the parking lot and there was Steak n Shake with those inviting Vanilla shakes. YIKES! Temptations everywhere!

But I walked away. Yes, without a second thought this time, I walked away. I went through the drive-thru at Wendy's (because when you go in you smell all those yummy smells) and got one of those Mandarin Salads. I think I'm hooked. I did use the almonds, but not the crispy noodles and reduced fat Ranch dressing. 7 WW points!!! And it measures 3 servings of fruits/veggies. WooHoo!

I had an apple for breakfast so that makes 8 points so far today. I CAN DO THIS!!!!

Katrina: My kitchen cupboards got redone 12 years before I got the new moldings put up. You just haven't waited long enough! Mine got put up when we were preparing for my oldest son's graduation from high school. * Your menu looks good too. I think that's what we all need is more ideas so we have less 'grab it and run' experiences with food. I have my pistachio fluff already made and will do up some apple salad before dinner.

2cute: I know just how you feel. It's amazing how happy we can get redoing our rooms, especially when our rooms are the last to get done and haven't been 'freshened' in years....like mine!

Susie: Glad you came back. I was wondering what happened to you. Sounds like work is going to be an ongoing stressful problem. I hope you get some relief soon.

Well girls, I've got to run back out to work. Take care and have a great day!
  • Just thought I would drop in long enough to say that my food is good.
I got plenty of a work out from shampooing my carpet. Whew !!! I drank a gallon and sweated two.
I got my taxes mailed... it was fun ... so many of us who wait till the last day.
And I still love my bedroom. I just can't imagine how much I will love it when I pick out a border and curtains and such.
I have got to go fix dinner... I am making my dear dear husband a HUGE steak and salad. He certainly deserves it.
I am sooo sleepy you wouldn't believe it. I wish I could live on "my" timetable instead of the rest of the world's.
    See you all tonight.
  • Hi! Gotta ask......is it ok if I swap days????? You know.....just when you think you have a plan......all **** breaks loose!!

I was sitting here, minding my own business, when my oldest yells from the basement, "mom, we have a leak down here." What he should have said was, mom, we have a lake down here. YIKES! I ran downstairs to find water all over the laundry room. It seems that my hot water tank decided to 'tank'!!! Leaking from the bottom, full tank. YUCK! And the worst part is all the stuff that needs to be re-washed because somebody (no telling who) likes to wash, fold, and never put away so there were baskets and baskets of laundry down there.

DH and #1 son just finished taking the old tank out and have left to go find a new one, then home to do the install.

So......long story short (oops, too late! ) I switched from the fish to the roast beef for tonight so that I could just put it in the oven and leave, finish my last job for the day, and be able to serve dinner sometime in between uninstalling and reinstalling my new tank!

Food has been good today. I have behaved myself and am proud of the job I've done. Hope you are all doing just as good. I stopped at the fruit market and loaded up on all the goodies; kiwi, apples, oranges, pea pods, grapefruit, lettuce and grape tomatoes. I even bought a leek. Don't know what the heck to do with it, but I bought it anyway. I think I had a recipe that uses them. The real key here will be to find the recipe before the leek dies in my fridge. Love to all.

P.S. I keep forgetting to ask you guys. Do you know of any household remedy or formula that will set the dye in clothing???? I have been able to fit into Just My Size denim leggings from Walmart. But I have had a devil of a time with them because the dark denim blue bleeds.....onto everything. My legs get blue when I where them, it transfers from my legs to the white (not any more) toilet seat (I know, too much information). My seat in my van that used to be beige is now blue. My hands get blue from having them in my lap when I watch TV. The tops of my tennies, my socks, my underwear.....all blue. I understand this happening the first couple of times that I wear them, but a couple of these pairs are a couple months old and have been washed dozens of times and still do it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks bunches!!!
  • Just me reporting in after a TOTALLY successful day! I'm sorry, but I need to brag, if only to myself to show myself that this CAN BE DONE! The key is consistency...

I had to switch my menu too, I made tacos for the gang, but MY dinner was SO much better! I heated up fat free refried beans, took about 4 oz of the meat mixture, lettuce, salsa, 2 Tbsp ff sour cream and chopped onion, and 1 oz cheese...layered them on my plate and scooped them up with 18 "WOW" Tostitos......Dinner was about 15 points, but I had only used 10 points during the day, so I'm still good...AND, there's room for dessert! (Which is already made, just have to add strawberries for a lovely 4 point dessert!

I love this feeling of control...I just have to hang on to it! It really is fun, trying to create a hearty meal, keeping within my points range...and it can be done!

Sorry about the water heater, Thin... don't you HATE spending money on things like that? I prefer to spend the $$$ on things like 2cute is spending on! I'm going to Macy's tomorrow, I just may have to pick up a new "bed in a bag," for myself...the rest will come ....someday......... sigh...

I'm off to bed...back to work tonight after 5 days off...you KNOW my butt will be draggin' tonight!

    Have a wonderful night, all...
  • I just read your bit about blue dye, Thin...I think there's something about washing with salt or vinegar or something like that. Seems like it was a "Hint from Heloise." I think I have a book of hers, will see if I can find something.

    later...
  • Whoa !!!!!
    Whoa, halt, stop.
It is time for a new thread.
Come join in the fun at the new ongoing thread... #156
    See you all there.
