I haven't "lost" any illness yet but one reason I'm hear is b/c I have alway had very good blood pressure but last time I had it checked it was 126/90... the 2nd number used to be in the 70s so that really scared me. I just started to try to lose weight so I hope to "lose" my high blood pressure.

After ready this maybe my weight is why my back sometimes hurts.... but I don't really have other health problems that I know of YET. but I'm looking to avoid getting them to begin with (Diabetes, etc.)

Also I now snore which I think is because I'm over weight so I want to lose that too.

My mom made a good point last weekend... after I told her my grandmoter informed me that I need to lose weight.... like I had no idea i'm fat
is that I'm carrying around over 60 pds extra so it's like carrying around a 60 pd sac with me all the time.

I'm glad to hear you guys have lost some of your issues... it's motivating

Next time you go to the grocery store, count off 12 5lb bags of flour on the shelf. Then imagine them strapped to your body every day.

You never realize how much extra weight you're carrying ... until you REALIZE it.

Hope this isn't TMI, but....

YEAST INFECTIONS!!!

Since I've reduced the amount of sugar and bread that I eat, I don't get these anywhere near as frequently as I used to. And I'm glad I don't...because I can't say that I miss them AT ALL.

Being overweight is a HUGE causal factor in a lot of snoring/apnea issues. The extra fatty tissue in and around your throat can cause you to snore.

Knee pain has lessened greatly (Gah, and I'm only 25.) Only happens slightly now on stairs.

I was beginning to have sleep problems. Couldn't get comfortable, felt like I couldn't breathe, began snoring, used to wake up sometimes with panic-attack like feelings about my health. All gone, I can sleep for hours & hours & hours without issue.
