Results are so difficult to measure. I saw scale results very early, ironically the speed of loss has actually picked up. (I think in relation to my activity level rather than more dietary changes.)
I saw changes in how clothes fit at about 10-15 pounds. At 38 pounds down I am a size 18 from a size 24.
I look in the mirror at my naked body and don't see any difference. To me I look huge, with big saggy breasts and a big belly and huge jelly thighs. DH swears things look different, I don't see it. (Although I do see it in clothes and find myself wanting to wear more form fitting clothes.)
The problem with actually seeing results is that you see you everyday- you won't notice if you've lost 10 pounds usually because it will happen gradually.
Try taking a picture of yourself once a week and then comparing. It makes it much easier to see the difference. I've lost about 20 pounds from my starting weight but I don't really feel like I look different in the mirror. But when I see pictures of myself from then i REALLY notice it.
You can also tell by how your clothes fit you. Even if you can't actually see the difference in the mirror when your super tight jeans start becoming loose and baggy you've definitely lost inches!
I think the more you weigh, the quicker you see results, and the less you weigh, the longer because the less, you have to work harder, and if you weigh a lot, even the small changes, make a difference. I have been on my diet for 4 days, and have lost 3 pounds.
