I figure if it would have stymied someone 150 years ago, I should generally avoid it.
I have just been watching Michael Pollan videos on Youtube. He is so great...this is one of his concepts. I had read about him on one of the boards here and I was intrugued so I researched about him. I hope to get a couple of his books. If you are interested in the social, cultural and spiritual connections that we have with food, you will find his ideas very interesting. He also takes the food industry seriously to task. He is funny, charismatic and so right on about Western culture and its relationship with food. There are several very good lecture videos on youtube.com with Michael Pollan as the presenter...check it out!
