Oh G-d, did I ever have a dried mango catastrophe 2 weeks ago. It will not be in my house ever, ever again - if at all. Ditto Peanut M&M's

I have to say, it feels wonderful to not "worry" that something I love MIGHT BE in reach. It's been a lofty goal of mine for a long time... to be able to indulge occasionally without totally blowing my diet. I would like to be able to have that once-in-a-while KitKat bar, or that occasional milkshake, WHATEVER - without feeling like I HAVE TO HAVE another! - or, Ummmm.... I want this everyday! I purposely waited until I'd been on my junk-food-fast for at least 30 days before I even attempted to test myself.

I may not be losing weight very quickly, but I certainly feel better! - getting all that sugar & white flour out of my system! - And to me, that's HALF the battle of any diet!

Thanks everyone, for your cheers! I'm still very excited about this accomplishment! - to celebrate, I'm getting a fresh pedi this weekend!!! WOOHOO!

I did something similar today. I did not really have a huge craving, but I was stressed out and tired so I allowed myself to go to the vending machine and buy a bag of potato chips. On the odd occasion that I buy these, I aim for the Sun Harvest (is this what they are called? my brain is fried right now) as they have more fibre and are a lesser evil than your usual chips. I pulled the bag out from the machine, checked out the nutritional info (210 calories [empty calories, I might say), 15% of recommended daily intake of fat). I went to my desk, slowly ate a bit more than half, and I put the rest into the drawer for tomorrow.

I have no plans to feel bad about this, just like I have no plans to live the rest of my life without chips, pizza, bacon, and what not. A small amount here and there is ok as far as I am concerned.
