The kids named the albino (boy) ferret Fluffernutter.
What an apt name--he's very fluffy, white, AND he has nuts. *grin*
• hello ladies,

I hope you all had a good weekend.

Jana, it would be wonderful to meet, but unfortunately, my husband and I are both unemployed. So I won't be doing any traveling in the near future.

Jana, take one day at a time. I understand what you mean. I've fallen off the damn wagon myself lately. But I refuse to give up and I will get back on it. You have been under a lot of stress with your MIL, so just relax and as I said, take one day at a time.

KAT, where did you find an albino ferret? Kids certainly gave him an original name.

Well, better go, had surgery Friday and I need to lay back down.

Talk to you girls later.

Ruth
• Ruth,

It sounds like you have had a very full plate lately--take care of yourself and worry about the wagon later! *BIG hug*

I hope you are mending well from your surgery and that the employment horizon brightens. Sometimes it comes down to having faith that everything happens for a reason and that it will all work out. I've been trying not to panic about the almost $1600 I owe in tuition or this semester at Norwich (which means I can't enroll for next semester until it is paid) and yesterday a man I know at church said that he and his wife might be able to work something out with me...personally, I don't even care if its a loan--I don't need a handout, and in two years I won't have to live on $8000 a year. Meanwhile, I'm making the rounds of the community organizations (Rotary, et al.) At any rate, I've found that if it absolutely essential, I usually get what I need one way or another. One door closes and another opens...keep your chin up and take good care of yourself.

How is the mil btw? It sounds like she's had a rough time o it lately as well.
• oops
Oops! The MIL question was for Jana and I lost that in the translation. *BIG hugs to you as well*

As for Fluffernutter *gete*, we inherited him from someone who couldn't give him enough attention. He's stinky, but cute as a bug.

• Hi all,

My m-i-l is better. She is returning to the Adult Day Care tomorrow. If all goes well, she'll be going every Tues. and Fri. Pray for her and me, too, that all goes well. She needs the outings and I need a break.

Ruth - Hope you're doing well, and on the mend. Thanks for your words of encouragement.

Kat - Things really do work out, like you said to Ruth. I like your positive attitude. An albino ferret??? Yikes to any sort of ferret!

I am trying to figure out how many extras I will have for Easter dinner. Some of DH family will be here, but I'm not sure just how many.

Take care, Featherweights.

Jana
• Hey girls,

Thought I'd take a minute to post. Hope everyone is having a good week. We are in for a rainy weekend. That will really interfere with Easter.

I'm feeling somewhat better. I told my husband I now know what it feels like to be in a knife fight!!

Take care
Ruth
• HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE
Haven't been here in a few days! Wow, Kat, you are one pretty lady!

Jana and Ruth: Hope things are going better for both of you!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

Time, like an ever rolling stream
Bears all who breathe away
They fly forgotten as a dream
Dies at the opening day.

O God, our help in ages past
Our hope for years to come
Be thou our guide while life shall last
And our eternal home.

Have a great holiday!

Love,
carree
• Carree,

You are too sweet. *blushing*
Thank you for the compliment!

Happy Easter guys!
• Morning girls,

Hey Carree, not close to normal, but feeling much better. I'll be so glad when these incisions are completely healed.

Kat, I tried to look at the photos, but they are really dark on my monitor. I think mine is winding down, I want to replace it, but I'm waiting for the flat screens to become less than $200 dollars.

Have a good weekend.

Ruth
• Happy Easter Featherweights
Hi Ladies,

We had a real scare this week - my older dd began to lose some amniotic(?) fluid, and at 5 1/2 mos. pregnant, that was real scary. The dr. said the babies were only about 1 lb each, so the chance for their survival would be minimal. But he did say, since they are in differnent sacs, they could do a c-section and take one, and leave the other. Through God;s good grace, the hole repaired itself, and the leakage stopped. By the way, both babies are girls. Madison and McKenzie....

I have been preparing for tomorrow's dinner - the cherries and corn that I froze last summer sure have come in handy! I still don't know for sure who all will be here, so I'm making plenty.

Carree - great to talk to you! How have you been?

Ruth - hope you're feeling better and better with each day!

Kat, I looked up your picture - you are a nice looking lady! Where exactly is that tatoo??

Have a blessed Easter, and I hope the Bunny is good to you.

Jana
• The tattoo is on my upper back, right below my neck, and was a gift I gave myself last year. I had wanted one for a long time, but hadn't been sure of what I wanted. Eventually I designed the one I have. The star/pentacle symbolizes a number of things for me (among other things the interconnectness and sacredness of all life, plus the cyclical neverending cycle of life) and is a constant reminder of my faith. The moon phases underneath are there because I have a deep love for, and tie with nature. Yes, it is the only tattoo I have.
• Hey ladies, go to the April thread, okay? See you there!
