I was just talking to hubby about that. I am still considered obese by the scale. I won't be overweight until 162. He thought that was ridiculous, since I am pretty fit for a fattie LOL!
For me personally to be considered by the BMI scale of no longer being obese is 196 so a few more pound for me to lose before I get there. I am so looking forward to reaching that figure as I started off as morbidly obese, they are nice milestones to head toward during your weight loss journey.
My dream goal is 145. Idk why, it just sounds good..... Even though it's kinda in the high end of the healthy range, I hope to have more muscle (which of course weighs more).
174 I will be just over weight and not obese. Ack...I didnt realize I had went back up TO obese status. Thats unsettling Hurry up 174, eh?!?! I have to be 145 to not be considered overweight...however I feel amazing at 150-155 so when I get there I'll be thrilled!
Hmmm,
Interesting thread.
Well I've found that I need to lose 12 pounds and I will leave behind the tag 'obese'... I will then have to wallow in 'overweight' until I lose a further 30 pounds... its going to be a long road... but hopefully I should make it!
shy moment, you are the same height as me, us shorties got a long way to go huh, that is what www.myfooddiary.com tells me about 149 to become overweight, I am looking at April 1st, (in my head) but in reality I need to step my game up, how have you come down 40 lbs?
how long did it take?
WE WANT PICS BABY!
Those BMI labels are so cruel. I moved from "severe obesity" to plain "obesity" and had a minor celebration. Then, when I moved from "obesity" to "overweight" I was thrilled.
I am now just twenty pounds away from the high end of normal.
I was so incredibly pumped when I went from being "Overweight" to "Healthy". But honestly, I don't take those BMIs too seriously. I used it as a rough estimate for my goal weight. (130 is approximately in the middle of my target range, according to BMI) But other than that, I think it's over rated.
C'mon now, Brat Pitt is considered overweight according to that scale! BRAD PITT!!!!
