good topic.... I weigh myself daily, always have. i think it def keeps me on track, its also interesting to see, when im at my peak weight of the day.Obviously i only count my morning weight. Its a bit obsessive, but if it works, it works.

Once a month I weigh and measure. Any more frequently and I get too crazy and obsessive.
|
Once a day :)

daily*, and record it, but only new lows make the ticker as long as I am staying OP. If I have been off plan a lot then I put in Monday's weight
* daily in my case means any morning I get up and manage to find my way to the scale before anything else. With 2 kiddos and a 5 am workout daily is really about 3-4 times a week. |
Once a week.
I just can't handle the ups and downs of weighing in every day. And for the longest time I couldn't even step on a scale... When I first started this journey I opted against weighing in and just took measurements. I had to break my unhealthy obsession with the scale. :o I' pretty glad I did though, because now I'm pretty happy with myself whether or not I'm losing. But recently every sunday morning I've hopped on that scale...even when I've been sure I'll gain. I still measure every week too. |
it really depends on the week. Sometimes once a day, sometimes once a week, sometimes once every 2 weeks. I'm trying to give myself time- because weighing in to often drives me crazy!
|
Well officially for recording purposes once a week on Saturday, but I do weigh every morning to make sure I'm staying on track!
|
I weigh myself every morning. Like so many have already said, it keeps me focused, a bit of a reminder when the day starts.
|
I used to weigh myself daily, I need to get back to doing so.

Weighing in
I weigh myself every Tuesday, I am doing weight watchers, but not going to the meeting, because I can't afford it. I got all my stuff from my mother who does go to the meetings and she weighs every Tuesday. So I weigh myself every Tuesday and we call each other and either congratulate each other or gripe. I won't lie, I do sneak on between but I try not to because sometimes it is depressing.

I weigh myself daily at the same time, with no clothes on, but I average the weights out and "count" the average at the end of the week. That was an idea that I got from someone here and it has worked out really well. I track my daily weight in Fitday (pc version) and I make a note if I have eaten salty food the night before, if I haven't been drinking enough water, or if I am on my period etc. so that I can "explain" the weight to myself! It helps to see the ups and downs and I feel like I am getting an accurate weight by averaging the numbers out.

I weigh myself every morning after going "potty". I record it. I have been doing this now for the 104 days I have been on my journey of better choices.
I know there are mixed feelings about weighing every day amongst us. For me, it seems to work as my goal is to focus on just one pound at a time. If I see the scale go up a pound I work a little harder the next day to get it down and maintain it as I work on one more. |
I have never owned a scale in my life. I am weighed once a year by the doctor at my annual physical. However, I've noticed a trend of gaining about 10-15 pounds per year, and it always surprises me to see that. So I think I need to go buy a scale and regularly weigh myself so I can stay on track.

I find myself weighing about 3 times a day. I record my first weigh in of the day. I like to see how my weight fluctuates during the day. It really helps me to understand my body. I don't mind if it goes up by the time i go to bed at night. I've learned alot about my weight by doing this...and it works for me. It may not work for everyone to weigh three times a day but it does for me.

I put my feet on scale once in a month to see where I am .I feel that I am gaining the weight slowly. The scale tells me about the progress in my weight. This enable me to take necessary steps keep my weight according to my desire.
