I never take a break from exercise - I love the way it makes me feel. I don't always do the same thing, and if it's a busy day I may do it in 3 10 minute spurts but I do something, even if it marching around the house. If you omit exerise, you will need to cut calories.

If you can avoid it, i wouldn't do it. I just took almost a week and a half off. I sooooo did not want to go to class this Tuesday or yesterday. I had to make myself. I had "payment issues" and first week of school issues to deal with...oh and 2 tires that had nails in them that had to be dealt with. Today...I am super sore from going from no work out to 2 days of giving it 110% in class. I feel like I can barely walk today. But, I'll be back at the gym on friday to workout (Thursdays I dont' go to the gym). So...I guess....if you choose to take the week off....you might have a hard time getting back to it. Good luck in whatever you choose to do though!!

You shouldn't lose significant fitness in a week off.

Thank you, BabyBrownEyes

I didn't think of the Endorphine Factor. But I'm down if I work out or not, so it don't motivate me too much

What MariaMaria says is true--but what you lose is motivation.

I get that..makes sense since that's what happened to me last time. When I lost weight and my trainer told me I needed to start eating before I could come back for more sessions...so I started eating and NEVER went back to the gym. Hmmmmm...from one extreme to the other. Although I think I'd rather be not eating and exercising than eating and not exercising. But that's because I hate being fat. (note: I would never not eat again....I like food too much)
