I hope each of you have a very Merry Christmas.

I am to try not to eat too much but I won't promise.
I am cooking a pork roast and calico beans, I am making a sugar free chocalote pie (sp) and a hash brown cassarole. I'll try to post tomorrow.
  • Merry, Merry, Christmas!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day with family and friends! Enjoy the blessings of the season, not necessarily the food! Remember, the second bite will taste just like the first, so stop at the first bite and don't be redundant!

    Love to all!

I too want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas this wonderful day.

See you when I get it all set up again.
  • Well, today was mixed - fun with family and getting good gifts but one of my aunts died this morning. It was fitting because Christmas was her most favorite time. She had a three story house and had a huge, decorated to the hilt tree on every floor. Then there were all of her other decorations....it was something to see.

This morning while in the shower I did decide 2002 will be the year of the body for me. Being from Minnesota I don't mean our Govenor I mean my body....getting healthy, and looking good.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday....
  • I hope all of you had a merry christmas.

Ladybug sorry about your aunt. I also had a great aunt to die she lived out west.

My day went good. I got several nice gifts but I sure am glad its over. I am making a pledge to start fresh tomorrow morning. I am intent on getting slimmer and out of debt in 2002. well I better go for tonight see all of you in the morning.
  • Merry Christmas Everyone!

Today has been a good day. Lots of family getting together and enjoying being near each other. Our girls were so precious this morning while opening gifts. The best thing about Christmas morning is being taken back through your own childhood memories as you watch your little ones making their own. We have had so many holidays apart, it felt wonderful just being together. I still have that whole warm, fuzzy feeling going on, can you tell?

Surprisingly enough, food today has been great. I made sure to not buy bacon or sausage for our breaky this morning. The main treat was a gluten free pancake mix I found and watching my littlest one's eyes pop as her daddy served her up pancakes. It has been a while for her! She was so excited, she ate two entire ones by herself. I ate one with homemade apple butter and real maple syrup. Yummy!

My family all got together this afternoon for a few more presents and a buffet lunch. I stayed out of the mayo and full fat salad dressings and made sure to have two servings of green salad. I also decided to not feel bad about a third of a slice of pumpkin pie and a piece of fudge. It tasted great and I had no regrets. Nice having a day like today and leaving it feeling as if I've met a good balance with food and fun, concentrating more on fun.

Oh yeah, I even answered up through the million dollar question on my dad's new Who Wants to be a Millionaire game.

Lucky, I am so sorry for your loss. You have been through so much lately. You must be one strong woman to keep it all together. Let us know if you need a shoulder to lean on for a bit. *HUGS* And good for you, deciding to make 2002 about getting healthy!

2cute, I want to hear about your day! With all the effort you have put into this holiday, it must have been a blast.

Taz, Thank you for the Christmas wishes.

Thin, I took your advice to heart. It definitely kept me from popping in a second piece of fudge.

Grannie, your menu sounded yummy! If that hash brown casserole isn't too heavy on the butter and cheese, please pass the recipe on.

Michelle, you are one traveling woman this holiday! Not to mention baking, cleaning, shopping... You are on my list of Uber Women, chick.

I need to get back to family now. Merry Christmas to all of you!!!

    Andria
  • Merry Christmas everyone!

Much joy and peace to you and your family. It's been hectic, but I survived Christmas. Three days of work and it's a holiday weekend again. Santa gave me a tool set. Yippee, I'll be drilling holes all over the house. I'll be back to the website after the new year. If I don't get in touch before then, Happy New Year 2002!

    Much joy,
    Malia
  • Good morning everyone. Hope you all had a great Christmas.

I am sure glad it is over. I ate way too much these past 4 days, so now I have to get my act together. I am going to stay low, low points for the rest of the week, so Saturday's weigh in won't be too too bad. Last Saturday's weigh in was good. I stayed the same. I was relieved. I did exercise all week, but with 2 Christmas parties and a mexican luncheon with my friends, I was nervous about the possibility of a gain.

I like having time off from work, but it offers up too much extra time for eating.

I am going to buy myself a George Foreman grill once the after Christmas sales kick in. I am going to see if I can be creative and eat more grilled items. Any suggestions?

Well, it is after 8:30am and I should have started working a half hour ago, so I better go. I sure hope this week goes fast, and I can stick to program for the next 3 days, so weigh in won't be a disaster.
  • Well Ladies I weighed today and I am still at 215 I can't believe it. I have pigged out the last few days. I didn't even journal yesterday.

Andria The cassarole is good Andria no butter but does have cheese on top.

2 lbs. hash browns thawed( I used the cheap ones cut in cubes)
    1 can potato soup
    1 can celery soup
    10 oz sour cream
    1/4 cup milk
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/8 tsp. dill weed
1 1/2 cups shreeded cheddar cheese
    paprika

Preheat oven to 350 grease 9x13 inch pan
Mix hash browns, soup,s, sour cream, milk, onion mix well add salt, pepper, and dill weed. Pour into pan sprinkle with cheese and paprika. Bake for 1-11/2 hours till bubbly and brown.

You can use fat free milk and sour cream and fat free cheese

Well I better go. The libray called and want me to work today.

Hope all of you has a great day.

Susie I have a Forman grill and it is wonderful. I cook Fish, steaks, chicken, hot dogs, burgers, vegs, pork chops everything on it
  • Hi everyone! I'm so glad so many of you stopped in yesterday! We had a pretty laid back day. We slept in til 9:30 (ah, not to have little kids anymore so you can get some sleep!) by the time everyone got showered we started opening gifts about 10:15. I had my mom over for breakfast (french toast made with lite bread and eggbeaters) I mixed up some ff cream cheese with 10X sugar to spread between 2 slices of the french toast, very yummy.

Went to the IL's for dinner at 3:00 and then gifts there. Actually got home pretty early - 8:30 - and sat down to watch a movie. Pretty laid back.

We're on our way out to have lunch with friends so I have to be out of here. We'll talk later. Love to all.

  • Ho Ho Oh !!!! LOL LOL
Hello everyone. I hope you all survived Christmas day. I am writing off line so I have not read yet to find out. I just got my new computer desk set up and got my computer hooked up again. I have spent my time doing that so I have tons of cleaning to do again. Boxes, styrofoam, vacumning, etc. My old desk had no drawers and this desk also hides my keyboard too.

My food was okay yesterday. Ate too much but not junk food. Only took two bites of everything that was considered "too good to be good for you"
Thinthinker... you REALLY have helped me soooo much. I keep avoiding eating the leftovers by using your words of wisdom....

"I already know what it tastes like. I don't need to eat anymore."

I can't tell you how many times that line has STOPPED me from eatting leftovers and seconds. Thank you sooooo much. I hope it helped you as much as it helped me.

To everyone else...I hope your Christmas filled all of your dreams. I will return tonight with a longer post and I will reply to everyone.
    Merry Christmas !!!!
PS... I had a wonderful christmas!!!
  • Evening all
Work went good today we weren't too busy but busy enough to pass the time. I ate a baked potato for lunch stuffed with chicken. I am starving for vegs. I am so sick of holiday food. I told DH that we were going to throw all our cookies away.

I may have to work tomorrow won't know till in the morning.
I'm tired so I'll go for now.
