Hey!
I'm sure you'll get more hints than you could have imagined!
First, drink plenty of water.
Second, get rid of the "junk food." Replace the snack foods that are full of calories with healthier, lower calorie alternatives. Vegetables are a great snack!
Third, think of ways to increase your physical activity. Go for walks, join a gym, purchase some workout videos, maybe even look into a machine for your home. Do you have health issues? Check with your doctor--and perhaps your dr. could refer you to a nutritionist or dietitian.
Fourth, look around for plans that you think might fit with your life. For example, if you like group support and structure, consider Weight Watchers or one of those programs. Do you eat a lot of sugar and carbohydrates? If so, you might want to look for a plan that limits those, but without being drastic. If you enjoy some fats and proteins and would hate to give up meat, consider a low-carb plan. Not much of a cook? Then perhaps one of the packaged-meal plans would work. Or, if you like keeping things simple, consider calorie counting.
Do some research! We have plenty of information here--forums for many plans and non-plans, reviews of books, and more!
Good luck!
