Its been 3 weeks since i started my diet, my first 2 weeks were great, lost 10-12 lbs. But this last week, it seems like the scale is stuck, and im doing the same things i did for the first 2 weeks. Any suggestions on how to get over this hurdle???
Stick with it. Keep going. If you've let up at all on your food plan, tighten it again. If not, don't worry. 10-12 pounds in two weeks is a LOT. Your body needs to get used to it. Sometimes it seems like everything has to rearrange or something, before the weight drops again. Drink your water. Take your vitamins, keep being active! Don't give up!
If I'm not mistaken, it's quite common to see a big weight loss in the first couple of weeks, and then see a dramatic slowdown.
Assuming that you're exercising as well as dieting, I suggest shaking it up a little. Push a little harder in your exercise, do a bigger incline on the treadmill, go a little longer. Always push. If it's easy, make it harder.
I wish I could tell you that weight loss it exact and linear ... but it ain't. Lots of folks, me included .... sit steady, steady, steady and then drop a few pounds suddenly and for no apparent reason.
But there is a reason. That's just how it goes.
The hardest part of weight loss is the patience it requires. You just keep doing all the right things and you'll have another drop.
