I started in the middle of this past June, went from 190 (possibly higher, I refused to weigh) to 160 by September, got to 150 in the next month and a half, another five at some point, and have been yo-yoing a little with the most recent five - between 145 and 140- although as of this morning it was 139! I would love to be down to 135 or even 130, but I'm also really pretty happy right at 140. If and when I do lose the last bits, it'll be a slower, longer term process, I suspect.

I started the weight loss trek August 8, 2006, at 246. I'm now in week #28, and am down 66 pounds, so I'm losing at a rate of about 2.4# per week.

It's different for everyone. Different bodies, different diets, different life experiences. Like me for instance...I started eating healthy (not really dieting but trying to eat healthier/leaner foods) around Aug. 2002. I was somewhere over 250 lbs...maybe pushing 260 for all I know. By June or July 2003, I was 210 and started exercising. Walking first and trying to build up to running. By May 2004, I was down to somewhere around 150 or 160 and ran my first 3K race. By November 2004, I was down to 140. By December, I was pregnant....oooops. After the baby, I started again with 15 or 20 pounds on top of the 140. I got as far as 145 then we moved, then moved again into a house we bought and I've been remodeling. Then Thanksgiving hit, then Christmas. I've been stalled around 148. But just starting to get back into the swing of things. I will hit 135 eventually, may even drop that to 130 once I see how it looks. And with a tubal, there'll be no more surprises. LOL

I started counting calories and walking every day in Dec 2002. A year later I had lost 100 pounds. In 2005 I started weight training and more serious cardio because I had gained about 15 pounds back. Since then I've been slooooooooooowly losing...more sizes than pounds. I've gone from a tight 14 in 2005 to a 10. I'm not really tripping about how long it takes me to get to 150 - I know I am going to eat like this pretty much the rest of my life.
