Doing so much better this week!
Don't know why motivation has to wax and wane so much for me, but I'm glad I'm "on" again. Feels so much better!
Still having a hard time finding time for workouts. I just need to make 6am my wake up time and get used to it. Harder still that it's getting colder and colder in the mornings!

here's to a great week for everyone!!

Default Day 3

And counting! Not feeling well at all today so left the dreaded research job to wait until tomorrow and came home to sleep. Still feel very strange. Probably just paranoia or something.

Did weights this a.m. with no problem, ending calories 1860. Moving on to Day 4.

For as, I believe, Scarlett O'Hara once said (as she finally came to terms with the fact that her life was a mess and Rhett Butler was walking out the door declaring that he didn't give a ****!): "Tomorrow is another day!"

Yes, it is.

Default onward and downward

Good Morning all....I continue my downward spiral....this time I have kissed the 40's good-bye and won't say hello to them again until there is a 1 in front of them, not a 2....whale weighing came up with 239 this morning...Yippee Skippy...I will eat well, guzzle water, exercise, and think thin. I will be proud of my efforts and will feel good about myself. You do the same! Love to you all....Jh

Default Day 4 & counting ...

Still not feeling well so did yoga instead of aerobics this a.m. ... just bookmarking the exercise slot, really. Going off to appointments soon.

Yippee Skippy, indeed, Joanie ... you've kicked the 40s out of town and closed the border! I admire your tenacity, especially in the water guzzling department. Dehydration is a particular problem of mine and I live in the desert! (At least it USED to be a desert 'till they built those dang houses in the back).

Jelynn: I also envy you your ability to get up at 6 a.m., workout and then go to a job. I wonder if I could get up that early anymore. I only do it now when I'm going hiking.

Babette: Hope today brings you the house of your dreams!

Everyone, I have the feeling a wonderful day is coming DOWN, DOWN, DOWN in the very near future.

Hope this doesn't push us into three pages!

Angry I'll do better this week!

Hi All,

Weighed in up .2 pounds from where I was 2 weeks ago. Well, I am quite determined to reverse that trend and have a good loss next week, so I am going to be extra careful. Yesterday my points (39) were a bit high for WW but were ok for an occasional day by my criteria (maybe not helpful for weigh-in today, though).

Crone sorry you're under the weather. I don't feel too great today either (do you think it's a computer virus ).

I looked at 2 houses yesterday, one of which I would be ready to put an offer in on, all hardwood floors and tastefully painted - we wouldn't have to change a thing. But DH is leery of the neighborhood. The other one (right next door to the one that we'd had our hearts set on) has enormous potential -- great woodwork, nice windows, marble fireplace and built-in china cabinets. But it also has cruddy carpet over the stairs and the upstairs and i'm not sure of the state of the floors beneath, awful wallpaper and etc. My heart sinks a bit at the idea of all that work, but it could be a wonderful house and the work wouldn't be that expensive, just time-consuming. And it is situated close to(about a block away from) the harbour and surrounding park, definitely a plus. We may settle this tomorrow!

Joanie, congrats on getting out of the '40's (I'd like to be about 26 again, myself). The way you roar along, you'll be back in One-derland before you know it!

Jelynn, the motivation thing is a real puzzler, isn't it. Why this is so easy some days and so (seemingly) impossible others, I wish i knew. I find that if I use every trick in the book, i have less likelihood of crashing and burning, so i'm going to do that.

Hope everyone is well!

Default couldn't resist being post #50

but i promise I'll start a new thread if we're still on this one next time i come in. I had a good day yesterday. I did housework for some of my exercise, but I wasn't feeling great so that's okay. I'm really trying to take on each day as a component of the week leading to weigh-in (one down, six to go). When I start each day with that approach it helps. And I find that planning is a big factor -- for example, we're having nachos for dinner tonight, so I will try to get in some extra exercise and keep my day points low-ish so I can enjoy them and still have a successful day. Plus I am trying to measure everything, so i don't fool myself.

Yesterday, i had 31 points, plus got 4 of exercise = 27 for the day, which is great!

Let's get out there (well, actually I guess I'm staying right here...) and make it a wonderful day. Love to all!

Angry Then I guess this is Post 51!

Surely it's going to move to Page 3 soon!

I'm on Day 5, still feeling ill, but going to the fiber shop to buy some fabulous thread for a small tablecloth I'm designing for a little table in my living room. This is my "bedside" tatting project, kept near the ever-present mystery novel, all in the interest of keeping me busy when I get anxious and can't sleep (which is most of the time). I've been known to feel SO anxious at night that I go to the kitchen and start eating, sometimes eating a thousand calories or more. If there is no food in the kitchen at these times, I've also been known to get dressed and go to the store, whatever time it is.

So tatting is essential, along with the mystery novel!

Have a great day, everyone.

Babette: My exercise today was cleaning, too, because I didn't feel well. I call it aerobic cleaning because I speed up, do plies, lift the broom high over my head and wave it around, take out the trash and jogwalk up and down the street, etc. Sometimes it's easier to start an aerobic cleaning session than to go into my gym and start a workout or to go out for a fitness walk or jog. And the house gets clean at the same time.

Default Far be it from me to start a new thread...

Hey Gals and Pals....the whale watching sighted a 238 pounder this A.M.....I will continue to press forward and downward.

Weekends are tougher for me....I do better when I work, but I am determined...so I will eat well, drink heartily (the sparkling libation of choice...H20) and exercise....I think I will try the aerobic cleaning by Crone technique.

Weesa...aka Lisa...thanks for the kind words...Babs...good luck with the house hunting...(how is your son?)....Crone, I am so glad you are here you wise woman....Morrigan, speak to us...Love you all...Jh
