  • I'm 5'7.5" with a medium frame (more apple than pear shapped) and wear a size 6 on the bottom most of the time. I wear a 36D bra, though, which usually means a large or soemtimes a medium top. Here's what I remember about sizing as my weight dropped: 145 is when I started fitting into 6's, 155 was 8's, 165 was 10's and 12's.

  • 20 yrs old, 5'3

    220 pounds (16/18 pants)

Medium Bust - Shirts vary from Mediums to Xlg
  • this is interesting!
I am just under 5'6 and I weigh 164lbs and I am a size 12 jeans, and 10 skirt or dress. I buy my tops is all sizes m,l,xl whatever looks like it will fit. I was 200lbs at my heaviest and I was in a 16-18 and and at 170-180 I was in a 14. I just recently bought a few pairs of size 12 jeans and they fit perfect, not tight or loose. It's very interesting to see how people's sizes vary according to there hight weight and frame. My goal is to be in a size 7/8, but we'll see about that
  • I'm 5'2 and 115 pounds (or less, depending). I wear a 2/3 or a 3/4. It's different for everyone, though.
  • I personally would rather wear a "size" than go by my waist size -- I know I'm overweight, don't really want to admit it by knowing how big around I am!!

    I'm 5'9"
    At 256 lbs I wore a size 20
    At my current 239ish lbs -- it's a 18
and my all time lowest of 150 lbs was a size 12 (can't wait to get there again )
My problem is the length -- since I'm mostly legs and a short, pudgy top -- I was thrilled when capris came in style, since I had been forced to wear paints that were too short for years!!
  • I'm 5'2" and weigh 148.5 lbs; I'm wearing a very loose size 12.
  • I'm 5'5, 120 lbs (I think, I haven't weighed myself in a LONG time and I was 117, so I just presume 120 for the sake of some 'wiggle room' *lol*)...

I wear a size 3 (26) pant, which sometimes feel too big, but 1 is almost always too tight through the thighs, because that is the biggest part of my body. My shirts are XS (most S fit like a bag).

At my highest, I believe I owned one pair of size 11's...but I was mostly a size 7, and wore size M shirts.
  • When you start going into plus sizes, the sizing gets a bit off. I'm 5'6 and around 256. In department stores, I wear a size 18 pant. In Lane Bryant, I wear a size 20 or 22 pant. Those pant sizes are also for petite pants. I tried on a pair of size 18 plus pants yesterday and they were too big but then I switched to their size 18 plus petite pant and they fit perfectly. I also wear a size 14/16 top or 1x or XL or XXL depending on the top.

When I was around 290, I started wore size 22/24 pants. When I was 350, I wore size 28 pants.
  • That's funny, I've always found Lane Bryant's sizes to be bigger than other stores. For example, I can easily button a 16 in their store now but a 16 everywhere else is really tight, like a 14 at LB. I can't believe I'm squeezing into those sizes at all (I weigh 214 now). At my highest weight, 275, I was wearing size 22 pants and some 20s. It's hard to tell what my actual size was back then, because I always tried to wear everything as big as possible. I thought I was hiding something under all that fabric, I guess.
  • I'm 173 lbs and a size 18 pants.
  • I seem to be a permanent size 12. I'm 5'6" and have weighed from 150-178 and have never changed sizes. I've just accepted the fact that I must gain and loose weight most in places that have no effect on pants sizes, which is why it so hard to judge how I'm doing without stepping on the scale.

Back in high school I was around 135-140 and was in a size 10.
  • I started at 234 lbs. in a size 20 pants and size 2X shirt with 42DD breasts.
At 200 lbs. I was in a size 14 pants with an XL shirt and 38DD breasts.
At 175 lbs. I was size 10 pants and a large shirtand 36DD breasts.
At 162 lbs. I was size 7-8 in pants with a large shirt and 36D breasts.
Now at 141 lbs. a size 4-5 pants (most brands) and a size medium to large shirts with 36C breasts. I am 5'7. Medium frame I think.

As for panties, started in a size 10, now wear a size 5. I am broad shouldered so need a size 10-12 in dresses.
  • I'm 160 pounds and wear a 12 bottoms, large tops. I'm only 5'3", though. Jeans are a 32 waist. The size hasn't changed since I started (two weeks and 9 pounds ago). I'd like to get into an 8 (6 would be AWESOME but I won't push it) and a 30 waist (again, would enjoy 29, but I don't have much of a waist, so not pushing it). 30 pounds to go...
  • I'm 5'8" and at 173 I was a tight 12 (I refused to move to a 14, thus giving me a reason to start losing). I'm now 143 and mostly a 6 or medium. Obviously this must be vanity sizing because a few years ago I was 128 and a size 8 or small. I'm hoping to remain a 6 but lose 10 more pounds. I haven't taken my measurements lately.
  • I'm a little over 5'5" and currently weigh 153. I'm a UK 12-14 (usually a 12) depending on the shop. I think that's a US 10-12.
