Well this was day 4 for me of the MWL plan and I had to jump my first hurdle... the county fair. I had a filling bowl of rice and beans before I left. We are not aloud to bring food in and I new that we would be there for at least 5 hours, which turned out to be 7. In the past there had been a stand that served vegetarian food, salads and baked potatoes but this year it seems a lot of the usual stands were gone and many new ones were there. Seems like most all of them were deep fried high fat food. So while all of the family was doing their thing and I was still full from the beans and rice I thought I would walk around and look at the food stands and try to make a plan for what I was going to do. I would run into vendors advertising vege platters only to find out they were dipped in batter and deep fried. Most of the salads that were offered were Caesar Salad, premade. I finally found ONE vendor that did a vege wrap. The wrap had steamed mixed vege's and rice. So when the time came I knew where to go and then I dumped the vege's and rice out on to my plate and through the tortilla away. I must admit the smell of the heavy garlic fries was very tempting but it was more important to me to stay as close to program as I could. I had more than enough, in fact I couldn't finish my plate and I left there tonight feeling like a winner.
