Default Marilu Henner

Has anyone read her books? Her books are what made me switch to vegan. After reading how harmful that stuff can be to your body, i didn't even crave it anymore! LOL

I just seen her on tv, they were advertising her show. I was wondering about her and her methods.

I read her book Total Health Makeover about 7 years ago. I ended up losing 55 lbs just by changing the way I ate. (It also helped that I was going through a divorce.) She had some good advice.

Now I couldn't follow it and don't agree with alot of what she says. It just doesn't fit into my new life or my family. But if it works for you, then that is great. She is inspiring.

So she advocates a vegan diet? I'm not familiar with her stance, but I'd be interested to hear more.

I LOVE Marilu! I've read two of her books - hmmm now I'm drawing a blank on the other title (other than Total Health Makeover). But one of the books gives more of the detailed info about nutrition and why she eats the way she does, and the other one is a 30-day guide for implementing it. I liked both. Her website has a lot of info on it, too!
Her diet is not completely vegan, because she does eat fish. But she is VERY anti-dairy. When I tried following it for a couple of months, I was able to cut out all dairy, caffeine, and sugar and I felt great!
