Luckily not so tonight...
The Hippy Mingle Mix
14 oz. (1 packet) mushrooms, sliced up
15.5 oz can kidney beans
1 c. brown rice, uncooked
1/2 cup veggie broth
Parmesan or soy cheese, grated
Hot sauce
Garlic powder
Dried whole red chilies
Cook mushrooms in broth in heavy pan, simmer away on medium heat till nice and brown, about 30 minutes. Sprinkle with whatever appeals to you, garlic powder maybe... add in a couple dried red chilies if you like more heat

to the simmering liquid, then take out when all done.
Cook up the rice at the same time (1 cup rice to 2.5 cups water.) Boil water, add rice, reduce to simmer, toss in rinsed kidney beans, cover, let cook 45 minutes.
When rice and beans are done, mix in with your mushrooms. Stir up in pan, let cook off any extra liquid. Add hot sauce according to personal hot-a-meter.
Fill up a bowl and add Parmesan cheese (or soy cheese.) Enjoy... VERY filling and low-cal, and MMMM good.
Without cheese, for those on Weight Watchers, the whole mix is 16 Points.
