Do you eat beans?

I eat a lot of organic food but no animal products. Beans, whole grains, fruits, veggies, etc. You can live quite cheaply. Do you eat edamame or tempeh? Those are some options as well. I also like tofu but I don't eat it too often.

Is there a reason you don't use tofu?

I only ask, because it's such a good source of protein and VERY flexible for cooking (it's used in Asian cuisine with much frequency). It takes on the flavor of almost anything you could cook. Not to mention, it's simply soybean so it's wonderfully vegetarian.

ETA: And like Nelie said, beans in general are good, too!

nelie - good tip on the tempeh! I love that, but I've never prepared it myself. I'll try it soon - same with the edamame, love to eat it when im eating out at the Japanese place.

Lovely - same as with Tempeh, I've not prepared it myself before but only had it as part of Roti or other Indonesian dishes. I'll experiment some for sure! I guess I just need to add more kitchentime

I guess it's just part of my journey, learning which foods hold which nutritions. I haven't the foggiest!
