Haleygirl- take care and get as much rest as you can!

Heather- good luck on the 5k. I hope it's not too cold where you live and that you have good weather for the run. Remember that we're all cheering you on!

I started a herbal cleanse today- no coffee (I can have it, but not with milk and sweetener so I'm just skipping it), no dairy, not bread or wheat products... I've done it a few times before and feel terrific afterwards. But still, the next 12 days will be a challenge... it ends on St. Patty's Day!

Weight today= 157

My weight is going down a little, after hanging on for a long time. I'm pretty pleased. I'm no longer technically obese. ;)

Bad news though, our gym is closing. Good thing the weather is starting to get warmer, so we can go out and do things. It is a total bummer though. The things going on in this country are so scary right now.

I really don't know about kid nutrtion but some soft ideas - oatmeal, grits even, cereal in a lot of soy/almond/whatever milk, smoothies?

Good god I'd die w/o coffee. Why don't you use a non-dairy milk?

:carrot: Way to go on the no longer obese!! I agree things are scary and it saddens me that people tend to let diet and exercise go first. IMO those should be the things you DON'T sacrifice!


5k - I sucked a big fat one. But I did it and it was a good kick in the rump to get back into exercising like I was instead of this sporadic crap I've been doing lately. Gorgeous day here! I've got to go to the office for a bit then going to sit outside and soak up the sun. :beach:

I am glad to say that my weigh in this week is.......... 222!!!!:carrot:
I am so excited b/c it is 3lbs less than last week's weigh in!!!

*Gosh, I now understand what my problem is, I thought I was doing everything right. I was exercising to the extreme and what I noticed was my food choices. I have such a sweet tooth and I feel like I don't mind indulging in that crap!!! Ughhh...so my "abusive relationship" with sweets is officially OVER!!! I know we have been struggling sooo long to be good to one another, but sweets you are causing me more pain than good. You are making me work harder on the stair master; I am aching and cramped after a workout!!! I am glad to announce to the world our break up!!!

Hi,
A new battery didn't help my scale! I had it in the bathroom, so maybe it got wet. Anyway, I'll just go with my last weight (I think it was 214.5).

I'll have to get a new scale on payday. And find a better place to keep it!

jushave2try - congrats on breaking up w/ the sweets.... and recognizing they might come to visit once a month or so! =) I am craving sugar like crazy right now, darn PMS!! I just went to the store and thought.... "oooo... organic carrot cake..." but I skipped it. Being on a tight budget right now is actually helping my diet a lot!

Hey Guys! My weight doesn't seem to be budging much but I think TOM is here too for me! UGH. I will be out of town this week so don't know if I will be able to post my weight on Friday but will try to do it as soon as possible! Hopefully it goes down by Friday- and hopefully there is a scale somewhere there!

Just realized I didn't post yet for this week... 211.2, down a bit from last week but up from where I was in the middle of the week! hope it goes down next week while I am on vacation! I ordered a pedometer, and I am sure being in Chicago I will be walking a ton! would be nice to be able to keep track of it!
