Default Hello, fellow veg-heads...

I'm interesting in finding a good "tofurkey" recipe, or perhaps something else to feature as a main dish for Thanksgiving. I had a very bad tofurkey experience a few years ago, and I don't want to stuff my face on side dishes like I do every year. any good suggestions?

I (an omnivore, but still) have always had a dream of having the centerpiece of my Thanksgiving table be a giant tureen of roasted pumpkin soup, served in a hollowed out pumpkin shell. It'd be a great "focal point" of the meal, even if it isn't turkey or turkey-like. And how pretty it would be sitting in the middle of the dining table!

Maybe this is just my dream :-)

I'm making individual chickpea cutlets this year but if you want to 'do it big', I recommend looking at some of Bryanna Clark Grogan's recipes:

http://www.bryannaclarkgrogan.com/page/page/1435893.htm
http://www.vegsource.com/articles2/b...anksgiving.htm

I've heard rave reviews of her recipes, especially holiday/family meal type stuff.
