Okay CHALLENGERS week 1's 'happy goal' was to dance/sway for 15 minutes to great music everyday. Since I've had no ideas put in for week 2's challenge... I'm thinking it can be...

'HAPPY GOAL' WEEK 2:

Relax. Lighten up. Don't take yourself too seriously. Try not to over analyze things. Stress can cause many mental, physical, and spiritual problems in your life. One of the major causes of stress is worrying about things that are out of your control. Learn to recognize these things and if you can truly do nothing about them, then just let them go. Take time to laugh at yourself and the situations you find yourself in. Laughter is a powerful, positive medicine and the calmer and more peaceful you can take things, the happier your life will be. It wouldn't be life if some bad things don't happen. Also grab some aromatherapy candles or relaxing tea!

I went up 1lbs which is not that big of a deal, but not the direction I wanted to be heading! I haven't been eating that well this past week, though. SO my goal for this week is to plan my meals. I went grocery shopping so I'm cooking up enough food to last the rest of the week. That way I won't have an excuse.

Starting weight9/09= 163.4 lbs
Today= 164.4

Shelly.... planning yoru meals sounds great! I always try to make sure I have lots of fruit and veggies. That way I have to use em so they dont go bad :) I know you can do it!!

jillnicole-the prices aren't too terrible. I think we spent $29 on one appetizer, one entree, one milkshake and a lemonade. The entrees are between 8-10 dollars, the appetizers are about 8. If you go I hope you enjoy it!

Your potato salad looks awesome!

I am at 173. :) It's only a pound, but it's miraculous, considering I've been so stressed. I'll take a pound over a gain.

Oh My Goodness... I Went To My First Vegetarian Restaurant Tonight (watercourse) Thanks To Darby!!! And It Was Sooooo Delicious! I Ordered Seitan Fajitas... And It Was So Goooood!

I Got A Pint Of Soy Ice Cream To Go Instead Of Ordering A Milkshake There And Oh My This Is The Best Chocolate Icecream Everrrrr!!! Like How I Imagine It To Taste In Italy :) Yummmmmmy

jillnicole-I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I've never tried the fajitas; I'll have to check those out the next time I'm there.

How much longer are you going to be in Denver? I can tell you about some other places if you're going to be there a while. There are a lot of good places in Boulder, if you ever get up there!

I like the challenge for this week. I have been anxious and stressed the last week, I really need to unwind. I wish I could just flip a switch and quit worrying. Does anyone else get this? It stinks! :)

Hello again :)
Just letting you know i finally got access to scales 2 days ago, i had gone up 3lbs on it, then today i get on them and i've gone back to 167lbs.grr My body is weird i tell thee!

JILLNICOLE...when i first went vegan i was runnng around to loadsa different resturaunts eating everything just cos i could.lol

I like the new challenge, ive decided not to get to stressed anymore as im starting a new uni next monday so id rather be in a happy mood when i go :)

On a bad note tho ive had to give up Soy, i have PCOS and i read all the negative effects/hormones etc it could have on you, so im going to have 30 days without it to see if it makes a difference, i eat soy milk, cheese, icecream, spread, fake meat...so im hoping it will be the cure of my weight gain :D heres hoping!

How everyone doing today?
Im debating what form of exercise to take, probably power walking again but last time i messed up my feet :(

Good Morning Lovely Ladies!! I'm counting down the days until Friday as I'm heading to the beach then :)

I had a crap day as far as food goes yesterday but back at it today. I tend to have one kinda bad splurge day every week to two weeks. I figure as long as it's just one day it won't hold things up too bad ;)

Jill - I need to take your advice this week as I've had little stresses pop up here and there. Just seems like a lot of small things are trying to make my life nutso right now. I'm reminding myself everyday to just BREATHE and it will be okay!

Jade - I'm so sorry about the PCOS. I don't know a lot about it but I'm sure you'll figure things out. I've read some posts in the PCOS forum here and they seem like a good group of women with lots of info.

Have a good day all - I'm off to try to make it to work early!
