Default Cooking help lol

I have no idea about how to cook summer squash or squash at all. Could you guys help me? lol I googled squash and it looks like I have a summer squash. I had tried some at a friends house and wanted to make some on my own, but realized I have no idea how to pick out a squash or to cook it! lol

How did your friends make it?

I made some tonight. I sauteed some garlic (ok lots of garlic but it was for quite a bit of squash) and diced onions. When they started to get soft, I added in diced summer squash and sprayed on some braggs liquid aminos (you can use a little soy sauce instead). I sauteed until the squash got a little soft.

i like to cut them into chunks and toss w/ garlic and some olive oil and roast like 400 degrees for about 15 minutes or so. can also marinate in olive oil and balsamic (this works great w/ green beans and asparagus too)

also- just cut in half the best i can and grill them up. so tasty.

if i'm feeling ambitious sometimes i'll slice them fairly thinly and stir fry them.
