Default Totally disgusted - X Factor

I cannot BELIEVE Ben was just voted off. Do people have no taste whatsoever?! I mean, don't get me wrong, I would love to watch Ray on stage somewhere, taking the West End by storm but X Factor? Ummm, no. Ben is a real musician, he can play guitar and piano and is rock n roll, ya know? He so should have won. Or at least made it to the finals with Leona. She has a gorgeous voice but I find her boring. I could never listen to an entire CD of that pop princess diva stuff but at least she is an amazing singer and lives in the present era! I could have lived with her beating Ben in the finals. I certainly won't be bothering to watch next week NOW.

I will buy Ben's first CD when it comes out, though!

I agree. I do reckon we'll still be seeing Ben on TV etc a year from now and we'll have forgotten Leona. Mind you, I was gutted to lose Ashley and Eton Rd - they went out far too soon.

Ray is no singer but he definitely has the X Factor. Leona is a great singer but has no X Factor whatsoever. Which makes it intriguing!

You know what annoys me about X factor the fact that no one has mentioned that Ray was on Brookside and played the Young Boy Anthony Murrey for years , its seems to have bypassed everyones notice that he was at one time famous. I remeber watching him on the Soap Awards crying his eyes out winning some Best Storyline award.

I know his was an actor but surely thats important in some way that fact his been in the public eye before.

He should of cried. I hate Ray. A lot. I liked him in Brookie and was quite excited he was in the X Factor. Not any more.

I liked Eton Road.

I do like Leona i think she has a really good voice but i hate the way that all the tv programmes are talking latly like shes already won it , something i was watching and they said the girl whose gonna get the contract on x factor , it was like have i missed something has she won already .... whats the point of people wasting there money voting if there already decided who is the winner.

Pointless oh well im so glad i dont bother voting hehe.

Everyone assumes Leona will get a contract anyway so Ray may win because of that. I've just watched half an hour of reality tv flops on a music channel. My main thought was I hope I don't look as big as Rik Waller...

I didn’t want Ben to go, I wanted to see shut of the diva princess Leona… I can’t stand her, yeah she can sing but she’s so wooden on stage…

Fingers crossed Ray wins next week; his version of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” nearly had me in tears….

Apologies for those on SC, but this is what I posted there:

Yep, both the surviving contestants did the cheesy pull-on-yer-heartstrings thing. (And not forgetting one of them's an experienced actor so should be able to sob at the drop of a hat!)

The better singer of the two wasn't above that either (pulling the dead cousin card).

I hate being manipulated. And being brought up with a semi-pro musician means I can hear a bum note at 60 paces. The warbler pulled several - put it down to nerves - but the more charismatic one... where to start! If he wasn't Simon's act he'd have been pulled apart weeks ago!

The only one last night that didn't go down that cheesy, look-at-me-I'm-emoting route was the one that left. Message in there for next year's contestants, eh? If you want to get to the final and you're in that crucial semi-final show... cry like a baby!

I'm happy so long as the wobbly lipped one don't win. I can't be doing with the Mariah Carey thing.

(Hope Ray wns in other words! But suspect he won't).
