Default Aim

A stone and a half between now and christmas, is that realistic? It is my last new years resolution that I have to keep from last year. If i acomplish it, it will be the best year I have had in years. Due to a new car and a new job, all contributing to a happier me.

Any one wana play with me and aim for that much a loss between now and then?

Ive increased my exercise, I am now running for between an hour and an hour and a half everyday. Thats gona be at least 97 hours more until xmas. Stated me shopping already too, got Dads present and know what Im going to get the others. lol, mum doing her shopping is making me organised.

Every year just before xmas we go clothes shopping. We get given some money to spend so I really want to be able to go and buy clothes that are size 12 or even 10. If i loose this extra stone and a half, do you think I will shrink by at least two clothes sizes? From a 16 to a 12 or 10?

It's certainly possible. Go ahead and try but don't focus on the result as a be-all-and-end all though. If you don't lose as much weight or as many inches as you'd like you're still in a better position than you were and you'll be fitter than when you started.

Ooh I sure hope that it is possible because I have a 2st goal for New Years (we'll see........I aim big, and it can't hurt to try).
So, fingers crossed for you.......(and me too!).

Is 10kg (about 20lb) too much to aim for between now and 18 November?

I think a stone and half before christmas is a perfectly reasonable goal. I would love to lose that much but for now I am just going to aim for half a stone in the next 8 weeks. I lose weight really slowly and thats why I tend to not stick with diets, but I really dont want to give up this time.

I haave ran for 70mins a nite (burning 1000+ claories a time) and have managed to loose 2 lbs in 5 days. I have rewarded myself with half a bottle of wine and a small gingerbread man, not ideal I know, but it is ery encouraging!
I have a stone and 2lbs to go now

My only fear is the fact that it is the last 16lbs i feel that I should need to loose. It is supposed to be the hardest isnt it?

I have been thinking about getting one of those Ab King Pros that are advertised on the box, looks as though it would help a tremendous amount with me love handles.

I will do anything, tho, to loose this before xmas. Determinations all I have.

Hi Loopy. I am new here, but I think I am going to join you in trying for a stone and a half by Christmas. It will be 10% of my bodyweight so should make some difference! I haven't yet got any kind of plan. I tried SW before and it was good but I think this time its going to be calorie counting with exercise.
