I got a question is is best to weight before or after food , cos i notice when i step on before any food first thing its low and then after ive eaten i weighed again just to see and i had gone up like 3lbs , what is a true reading ?

I know when the dr offically weighed me the first time to start off with it was in the morning and i hadnt eaten , there for should i continue that was in order to get an accurate reading.

Am i a complete Spanner ?????

Well.... my preference is to weigh first thing in the morning before I eat or drink anything and after *cough* I've been to the loo - that way I think I get a better idea of what I weigh rather than what my food and/or any water retention weighs.

But I don't think it REALLY matters as long as you are consistent - after all most slimming classes are held of an evening.

Nope - you're not a spanner - most people ask that question at some point.

Same time (ish) same scales every week. I used to weigh naked in the morning before I ever set foot in a diet group/class but now I weigh at Boots (clothed ) if I'm not going to a diet group/class. All my slimming world groups have been after tea you may be a few pounds heavier then but the difference is the same every week so doesn't bother me.

Cool , im so glad im not a spanner for asking a silly question lol. I don't got to a weight class onlya weigh in with my dr every 2 weeks i have an appointment to see her wednesday to get my offical weigh in and its at 9.50am so i wont eat or anything before i go. I normally see my dr in the morning anyway and last time she weighed me i was unfed and it was about 9am so i think thats proberly my best option with regards to weighing.

Teresa

Hope y'all all having a good day.

good idea....but if you get a manual one, make sure it's not on an uneven floor.
i've got one, but my floor is uneven, so when i use it, after only a couple of minutes the belt that you walk/run on ends up sliding to the side so then you kind of have to run on it at an angle to get it back in place again.
it's a real pain in the arse!
