    Peacock - to the frenchman

I lost 3.5 but I'm in a mood! The weigh in woman at sw can't count and put me down for 2.5 I pointed out it was 3.5 but she only changed it in my book and not the weigh in slip... so... someone else who lost 3 pounds (and that was over two weeks ) got the slimmer of the week when IT SHOULD OF BEEN MEEEEEEEEEEEEE and there was a pack of hifi bars in the s.o.w basket I wanted them!

I've lost 12.5 in 2 weeks though so yay!
  • Good on ya Veggie!
My sw weigh in woman can't count either. She tried to see if I was due another certificate last week, but she couldn't work it out... it took me to tell her I was! It's looking good for a loss this week. I got drunk on the weekend, lots of booze consumed, but it doesn't seem to have affected my weight... that could've been cause I didn't eat at all that day! Oops!

    Results tomorrow.
  • Well done Veggie!!! You're going well. Good luck Homersmummy.
  • Poor Veggie! That s*cks. But congrats anyway.
  • Quote: Good luck Homersmummy.
    Thanks.

The booze I consumed on the weekend didn't seem to have made a difference. I lost another 3lb!! I am now 4lb from 3 stone! And that all important sticker.
  • That's great Homersmummy!

However, be careful now - the pounds hae a habit of sneaking on when you think you can indulge a bit!

For a few days (when I was on WW years ago) I seemed to be able to eat a Mushroom & cheese filled croissant on my way to work. So I thought great- my indulgence. However suddenly the pounds piled on. Dammit.
  • Veggie - i read summit in the rules n regs bit in my book (at the back) about discrepancys being written down on the paper they keep and scales.. might be worth lookin into.. might get a free week outa it hehe
  • Veggie wuz robbed!!!
  • i think so !!!!!!!!

we know the truth !!!!!!!!!!!! well done chick... keep at it !!
  • Well done HM

Ooh I'll have a look in the back of the book lou...

My new consultant she's only been doing it 4 weeks and people have complained to sw already! But then you did have to wait for 25 mins to pay and get weighed!
  • sounds like she needs some training + maths lessons.. hehe

Oh don't worry about that, i've kinda got obsessed by this dieting lark now. Following it to the letter! I don't even have my Saturday chocolate bar treat anymore.
I'm determined to get this weight off.
  • Well done, Homersmummy. I'm sure you will get it off, too. It seems to happen when people get focussed like that!

Veggie - I think you were robbed, and all!

I haven't chimed in on this thread as I hadn't weighed myself for ages. I had got down to 158lbs (I started last July at 195lbs), but went slightly off the rails - nothing major, but enough to put me off weighing myself for a while, just in case the #s I saw upset me! Anyway, I got myself back on track for a week or two, then about a week ago, re-weighed. 162lb. Oh damn. I'd stalled around there since January. Ah well. Never mind. Last week, I switched to the Low GI Diet, thinking I might get rid of this annoying last few lbs if I changed tack. This week I saw 157lb for the first time! Wehey! Usually I hit a low weight, then go up a bit, then stall, then come back down to it, so I wasn't expecting to see 157 again on the scales but there it was again, today.

Target's 155lb (11st 1). I'm already below my original target of 11st 7 (now 11 st 3) but I'm aiming for 11st 1. As I have been stuck around 162-164lb since January, it will have taken me longer to lsoe the last 10lbs than the whole diet previously took!

I'm not holding out much hope of hitting target any time soon. 2lb sounds like nothing but it's gone so slowly since Jan. But maybe this change of diet lark is working cos that 157lb I've had the past couple of days is my lowest yet.

My BMI has been stuck in the high 25s forever (wasn't Helen's, I seem to remember?) but is now 25.3 so let's see how long it takes me to get below 25.

Once I get to 155lbs, I'm going to just keep dieting for a bit and see if I can buy myself a couple more pounds so I get a bit of leeway as I vowed I'd never be overweight again, not even by 1lb.

When I was younger I had a sickeningly low BMI of 21, but now I think I will be lucky to hit the high 24s. I'm going to be really happy with it, though!

Good luck everyone! However long it takes - don't give up. I've come so close to jacking it all in since January but now, finally things are moving. Cross fingers so I don't jinx it!

By the way, once I change my ticker down to my current lowest weight, I don't change it back up again, if my weight creeps up by a lb or 2 - psychological! I just wait for it to drop again, then set my ticker at the newest low. Is that weird of me?

PS: Just re-read that and see I lost 5lb last week! Blimey! I am sticking with the low GI!
  • My BMI just felt like it was stuck in the 25s forever, but it probably wasn't that long, I was just so impatient! (speaking of which, it's now edging into the 22s ) I was shocked when I saw that actually, and it reinforced that I really don't need to lose anything for the first time in my life.

I do exactly the same with my ticker - I saw 155 two days in a row so that is my weight, even though today it was 156. As long as I'm within a 2 or 3 pound range I put it down to fluctuations and record my lowest weight. I tell myself if I don't hit that weight again for two weeks I'll move it to the lowest I have hit within that two week period, but I've never had to do that, so it works for me.
  • I weighted in at 15 1 this morning so total for the month is 9 lbs..
Gonna have to step it up a notch this month though, I want to lose a stone before i go on holiday on the 29th July... bikini...eek!
