thank you for the warm welcomes! Congratulations on your weight losses so far, it's really inspiring to hear people's successes, and hopefully will be motivation for me to stick to the healthy eating and exercise.
Hi again everyone ~ I haven't been back to this thread since my first day, because I was so lost here and didn't even know where I had posted. Now I'm finally learning my way around here better. I'm happy that all of you are so welcoming to me in your group, because some other one wasn't as welcoming. I'm so happy because I'm down 9 pounds in the past 10 days since I started. Now that I know where this thread is, I will be back again to talk soon. Have a great day everyone...
Hi Misti ~ thank you for the congrats! I've been working really hard and I'm staying with logging all of my calories daily and exercising six days a week, with Sunday as my rest day with the family. I'm feeling so good already in just this week and a half. I know I CAN do this and I WILL!!!
Glad you found your way back, Michelle - maybe you should leave a trail of breadcrumbs so you don't get lost again (low cal ones of course!) - we hate to lose newbies .
Well done on the 9lbs - it's always a morale boost when you get off to such a great start.
Thank you Misti & Janey!!! WOW Janey, you have done great on your weight loss since last year! What plan do you follow? I bet you feel great, and you should for what you have accomplished!!!
It's nice to be complimented, especially since I've been on the 'plateau-from ****' since the start of November.
I haven't been following a formal plan - I've just been following a sensible, low-fat diet, logging my daily intake, calories and exercise (lately in Fitday, before then in a little notebook), making sure that I always have a calorie deficit and that I get a minimum of 3.5 hrs cardio a week (usually its closer to 10).
I'm over halfway now, and though I'll never win any prizes for speediness, I think I could win an olympic medal in persistence and doggedness by now!
Only 10 more pounds and I'm merely 'overweight', only 36 more pounds and I'm below a BMI of 25, and only 50 more pounds and I'm at my desired goal...slowly and steadily I'll get there!
If I can do it, ANYONE can! Just think how far you'll have travelled by next Easter - and like me you'll be feeling a huge sense of achievement, and on top of the world!
Congratulations on the 9lb Michelle, that's brilliant!
All you guys on here who have lost weight are a real inspiration!!
I've lost 6lb so far in the last 2 weeks, I've been writing down all my calories, and I've been running 1.5 miles every day. I have found that logging all the calories really helps, and planning what I'm going to eat the next day, so I know exactly how many calories I'll be having. I even managed to say no to ice cream dessert yesterday at my parents house!!
Good Evening Ladies ~ Thanks so much Janey, Yemen & Michele for all the congrats on my weight loss and all of your encouragement! I LOVE it here, because I feel that all the support from everyone is what keeps us all motivated to keep on going! Yemen, great job on your 6 pounds lost! This weight battle is SO hard, and I know somedays it can get very discouraging. Janey, I've already been thinking about next Easter, and how I will feel so much better about myself by then. I just know that I have started and restarted so many Mondays, and then it always fell through. This time I have committed to myself that by this time next year, I want to look and feel better, and not be in the same place I am right now! Thank you again ALL of you for your support and motivation! Talk to you all later...
