I'm staying at holiday inn when I go see Rufus Wainwright next month. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Kylie, if you book early enough, you may be able to get a cheap advance saver return to London by train - from Norwich two passengers can have a return journey for around £19 if you go after a certain time - just a thought if you don't really want the hassle of flying. I would've thought other large cities would do a similar deal.

If you DO fly, don't forget your passport - they won't let you on the plane without it, even for an internal flight. I almost forgot mine the first time I flew to Glasgow - remembered it at the very last second before the taxi arrived!

Janey :carrot:

Thanks for the tip, would never have taken my passport for an internal flight. I have mucked about with the train times, but can't get one of those mysterious cheap train deals. That's what we would rather do than fly, coz both airports are in stupid places!!!

I'm cold and wet through, even though I have changed, we got drenched at our local community bonfire!!! It was good fun though!!! I love bonfire night, but I do feel sorry for all the frightened animals. I hate kids letting them off, they were lighting them in front of moving cars on my street last night!!!!

I'm back

Travelled overnight (3am flight :dizzy: ), got back and then went to buy lots of healthy stuff at Tesco to make up for the lots of not so healthy stuff that I ate all week.

Well, I also bought a bottle of wine, but I'm still in holiday mode

I even went shopping in Spain, I ended up raiding Zara (despite the fact I could have done it at home, if I hadn't been sulking about the fact that their sizes seem small compared to other shops). But anyway, it was raining so I dived into the shop and saw the most gorgeous long purple skirt that brilliantly matches the purple jacket I bought when I was shopping with Kylie. In fact I travelled back in an entire outfit made up from things I didn't have when I left the house last weekend :D

Must shop stopping soon.

I think I'm going to curl up with wine, newspaper and sky+ this afternoon. I was considering going for a swim, but wine sounds far more tempting, despite the fact I won't be able to drive to the gym afterwards

2frustrated 11-06-2005 08:25 AM

YP you're so naughty! Curling up on the sofa is just what I intend to do too! Even though I am scheduled for weights and a possible run! I think I'll just run tomorrow, but I must do my weights sometime today!

Went out for dinner yesterday - had a salad :D :faint: I felt much better than when I had pasta on Friday! Then I went a bit bonkers with stem ginger cookies! :o But what the hey, you only live once right!?

veggie 11-06-2005 11:20 AM

Welcome back YP are you drunk yet? Wine in the afternoon! I'm shocked. :p

YP1 11-06-2005 11:41 AM

Not drunk. Yet. I've only had one little glass so far, then I fell asleep on the sofa for an hour or so!

It is very nice though. And it will be negated by the salad I ate for lunch, obviously ;)

kykaree 11-06-2005 04:43 PM

I've been out to fireworks again tonight, the pub over the road was doing it in the carpark, no bonfire though! Black peas, meat and potato hotpot with red cabbage and of course parkin, all courtesy of the management, I love being a Northerner!!!! ;)

And I have been tidying up all day, you can see a bit of floor in the box room, I have yet another bag of fat clothes for the charity shop!!!!

veggie 11-07-2005 11:52 AM

You sound more northern than me Kykaree.

YP1 11-07-2005 02:49 PM

Potentially interesting development, I'm considering a career change (it's so depressing going back to work ;) )

Only problem is, it would involve a BIG pay cut, but it would be far more rewarding. Hmm, decisions decisions. I guess I could apply and see what happens...

kykaree 11-07-2005 03:39 PM

You can't say something like that and not give d.e.t.a.i.l.s young thin lady!!!!! What's the change??? Marathon runner? Fitness instructor? Model? Tell tell tell!!!!

I am so tired, not been to gym today, but I think two hours cleaning in the box room counts for something!!! I can see more floor, it might turn into a half decent hobby room yet!!!!

YP1 11-07-2005 04:13 PM

OK, as Kylie knows, more details - I've seen a lecturing job in European law (which is what my masters degree is in), and I'm seriously considering applying. Doesn't mean I'll get it though...

veggie 11-07-2005 06:53 PM

Ooooh fancy! That's all I can say, as just the words 'lecturing job in European law' makes me feel stupid. :p

kykaree 11-08-2005 02:37 AM

I told Col that YP is the smartest friend I've ever had, she's scary!!!!!! And skinny!!! And pretty!!! Why do I like you YP?????? :) ;)

2frustrated 11-08-2005 03:41 AM

:cp: Cool YP! Go for it! If you're meant to have it, they'll give you the job! :D You can always freelance at what you do now can't you??

I'm feeling ok today, no icky feelings to speak of! Hooray!

I got a new helmet yesterday, it's got Ogri on it, it's great! It's got a little mask thing to stop your visor steaming up and a little flappy thing to stop the wind going down your neck! :hyper: I'm very happy with it! I had a really great ride this morning!

Got kickboxing tonight, so that will be groovy! Really looking forward to it :D

Did some weights last night even though I was feeling a bit lame, so I can still do stuff, I just have to bully myself into doing it!
