kykaree 10-01-2005 02:19 PM

And I am going to Turkey!!!! I am so excited we go next week!!!!! So you stil have a week of me annoying you all!!!!! I won the argument, MOTH (man of the house) didn't fancy Turkey, but it was cheap and looked lovely!

veggie 10-01-2005 07:27 PM

Have a nice time Kykaree. We will miss you.

kykaree 10-02-2005 03:20 AM

You still have a week of me pestering you!!!! I'm about to go swimming, I've got my new size 18 swimming costume on, on account of me bouncing out of my size 20 one on Wednesday night, thought my boobs were going to end up in the Med the way they were swimming off in their own direction!!!! LOL Luckily it was adults only swimming on Wednesday night.

Life is alot simpler at size 18 than it was at size 26!!!!!

Dippy Chip 10-02-2005 04:59 AM

Yay, Kylie, you're doing so well! :bravo: Size 18 is a breakthrough - its the size you can get in most regular shops - and before you know it you'll be a size 16 and the world will be your oyster!

Janey

veggie 10-02-2005 09:45 AM

I wanna be size 18 :tantrum: I have hardly bought any clothes this year  I refuse to buy anymore in my size.

Dippy Chip 10-02-2005 10:47 AM

Your day in the sun will come, Veggie, if you just keep plugging away at it. :beach: ;)

I still don't really believe it, I feel like the weight loss fairy is going to stick it all back on me. I am having a wee bit of a rest at the moment, and exercising but not eating quite as on plan as I was, taking some time to smell the roses and enjoy what I have done so far. After all it's not a race, I gave myself two years to get to goal, and I am on track with that. My inner fat chick is working over time, so I thought if I gave it a rest, it might give my strange subconcious a chance to catch up. I think after my holiday I will feel refreshed and ready to tackle it again.

YP1 10-02-2005 04:25 PM

I'm back! Had a really god weekend of eating and drinking well but not completely to excess, and walked miles round Ramsgate and Broadstairs. I'd never been down there before, and I was surprised at how nice the area was.

I'm off to Marrakesh on Saturday, so I've got to drive back down south (to Gatwick) next week too. My poor car.

cat90 10-02-2005 04:41 PM

Ooooh  What a bunch of world travellers we have here  Hope you both have a great time :D

 @ Kylie  did you get a few  's from the guys in the pool :?:

I have'nt done anything exciting at all :dunno: went to mall and there was a mega sale on at walmart..it was packed :bomb: I got a new automatic coffee maker for $23 :cp: AND 8 X 4 Ltr containers of motor oil  hubby gets through a lot of motor oil and it was the cheapest i've ever seen it on sale for so I grabbed lots :lol3: Today 'he' is driving me mad watching Nascar and I can't stand vroom..vroom..vroom anymore so i'm going out to stack firewood

kykaree 10-02-2005 06:00 PM

Nobody noticed my boobs, I don't think :( ....... I managed to shove thema way just in time!!!!!!!

I took my new cossie out for a swim this morning, much better. I'm on holiday for a week now, just hanging around home. I am hoping to swim everyday, but I have managed to catch Colin's manflu, and it's horrible, so after a few days of teasing him, I have to eat humble pie, as it isn't very nice. That's why I am up now instead of being in bed, as I can't breathe :(

veggie 10-02-2005 06:57 PM

Poor you with your man flu. :(

I'm not world traveling I can just about afford the bus to the other side of town. :p ;)

2frustrated 10-03-2005 03:44 AM

We're off to Japan in November...

I've got my Monday Morning sleepiness! I just can't be bothered cos I had a bo-ring weekend! Me and Dom have been together 3 years yesterday. He was swanning off to Paris, 1st class on Eurostar with a free meal while I stayed at home and read Adrian Mole and the Weapons of Mass Destruction! (It was for his transport police thingy so not quite as bad a s it sounds - but still! :tantrum: )

Grading went ok on Saturday not sure if I've got the top grade or not yet. I would give me it! ;) Don't really find out for a week or two yet, they all have to have a conflab!

Oh I wish I liked coffee, it might wake me up!

kykaree 10-03-2005 05:03 AM

:tantrum: Do these :censored: people not realise that we need to know what your grade is??? All this stress over the weekend worrying about you, and we're still none the wiser????? :soap: How rude!!!!!

Despite feeling rotten this morning, I've been to the gym and the pool, spread those germies about!!!! If I have to suffer so does everyone else (it's not called man flu for nothing!)

I'm at a loss for what to do next, I miss work

2frustrated 10-03-2005 06:24 AM

You guys will be the first to know! :hyper: I'm hoping they might sort it out for Tuesday :dunno:

Oooh kyk, spare time.. have a nice nap! I  naps! I spent about 3 hours asleep yesterday afternoon! :o You could read a book... Tescos have the new Adrian Mole for cheap! It was v good! You could also go SHOPPING! :D

veggie 10-03-2005 08:28 AM

Yes go and read Adrian Mole and the Weapons of Mass Destruction I got that last Christmas it is good. ;)

cat90 10-03-2005 12:29 PM

LOL..Frus you are obsessed with kipping   how can you sleep at night when you've had 3 hrs kip during the day :?: I have trouble getting 3 hrs sleep at night in bed. :tired: :lol3: What takes you to Japan? :nose: is it a place you've always fancied seeing? I always wonder what takes people to different parts of the world..some of my hubbies mates (in England) go to Thailland a lot but I KNOW what takes them there  dirty :censored: 's  they asked us if we wanted to go once and I said NO WAY!!

I'm glad i'm not over there Kylie :nono: because i'd be guaranteed to catch your man flu  I don't think there are any germs over here :dunno:  because I rarely catch owt

Just making a stew for tea because i'm on 1-9 shift today  and I ain't cooking when I get home tonight ;)

kykaree 10-03-2005 01:08 PM

I did it, I went shopping, bought a pair of pants, a skirt and four t-shirts for my jollydays. All for less than £40. And cold supplies, and a Turkish phrase book! Now I have to find people to practice on, who will know when I stuff the pronounciation up, now just how many fluent Turkish speakers are there in Ramsbottom?????

2frustrated 10-03-2005 01:29 PM

You might find some kyk... :chin:

Cat - I am obsessed with kipping 'cos I work my little bottom off trying to keep it in shape the ungrateful thing and that tires me out! We're off to Japan cos Dom's always wanted to go! His friend is over there teaching English, so we have a bit of a guide on the weekends! It's for his birthday - I hope he's paying cos I can't even afford to shop in Primark this month!

Just did some very heavy weights cos I've decided to wuss out of Lacrosse practice tonight. I'm just not in the mood for ex-public school gels squealing about things!

Dom and I are going out bowling and for a meal :o I've had chocolate as well today, oh and Wotsits and some random Philadelphia cheesecake snack which was strange! So I guess my eating's out the window already! I hope the Tuesday Fairy brings me a more positive outlook!

veggie 10-03-2005 01:33 PM

Speaking of crisps...I've just had the new mini pringles 116 cals they are teeny cute pringles  They were 28p my sister made me go get pigs ears for dogs  so I needed a treat.

2frustrated 10-03-2005 01:46 PM

I saw them... they looked funny! I might have to try them too... :s:

YP1 10-03-2005 01:55 PM

I've got a bit of peace for a couple of days, my mum has disappeared (with my car :() to see her parents before Marrakesh. I may make the most of it by going to bed and snuggling.

On the other hand, I've suddenly been inspired to start learning Spanish again so I might do that instead. Or I might combine the two ideas... ;)

2frustrated 10-03-2005 02:12 PM

If you have linguaphone, snuggle with the tape on your walkman!

Oooh snuggles. Hmmmmmm :D

kykaree 10-04-2005 04:10 AM

There used to be a Turkish lady about my age, with a very fat baby, who lived nearby, but I think she's moved back now, darn it!!!

I did buy a phrasebook though!!! I can always practice on you lot!!!

Japan sounds fascinating, I would love to go there......I might do it as a stopover next time I do Oz, I fancy a change, I normally use Singapore Airlines but JAL are good too, and you can stopover in Tokyo and they have Shiseido products in the toilets!!!!!!

Another day of leisure, about to go and get supplies for the cat for the week and MOTH managed to use the last of the liquitab Ariel thingies without telling me, so I can't wash my clothes!!!! And then aquaerobics at 1, with my new strap-your-boobies-and-keep-them-immobile swimsuit!!!!

2frustrated 10-04-2005 04:18 AM

Awww bless the pretty kittycat!

I'm going to kickboxing tonight with worn trousers and strap-them-in bra :o I was too lazy last night to put the washer on! Since I have two T shirts I'm not too bothered if my trousers smell!!

Girls I have been so so so bad! :rollpin: I NEED to get back on track. I need to STOP EATING JUNK! I need to figure out how to do a weekend! :?: I might drag up the food exercise thread again! HELP ME!!!! :tantrum:

2frustrated 10-04-2005 09:59 AM

Oh god I'm so dissapointed!

My computer clock said it's half past 4! I was getting really excited and getting ready to go home. Then I saw that it was really ten to 3! :censored: I wondered why I wasn't hungry!

kykaree 10-04-2005 10:05 AM

Oh no, that's evil. They should let you go home anyway. I went to aqua aerobics this afternoon, do you think I can retire so I can go every week? I get bored of the same routine in the gym, I might need to start investigating other things I can do, so I actually get to see people other than smelly gym boys!!!

2frustrated 10-04-2005 10:19 AM

Are there any other classes you can go to on an evening? Take up kickboxing! It rocks!

cat90 10-04-2005 12:14 PM

You can practice on me Kylie but 'ow the 'eck am I supposed to know what your saying :?: :dunno: its all greek to me  whats the weather like in Ramsbottom :?: my daughter finally moved into her new house over the weekend :D

Ooooh Frus..whats up with computer clock to be so wrong :?: :rollpin: that must have been so 'frus' trating :joker: did you give it a kick?

I'm not doing much this morning..some laundry..maybe some ironing ( but i'm not keen on that :p ) and i'll peel some spuds for tonights dinner. Guess what the management came up with last night :?: we have to compose a jingle for the new store  oh gawd :nono: i've just thought of one to the tune of I love rock and roll  I love Winners store..put another dime in the checkout baby..I love Winners store the only place to go to get real good deals. ( :sssh: apart from Primark  ) one woman said to me last night I was thinking of Hi-ho..Hi-ho its off to Winners we go

kykaree 10-04-2005 01:36 PM

Um the weather is quite cold but not miserable it hasn't rained in days.

Frus, there are no classes at my gym, I would like to take up martial arts again, I used to do jiu jitsu, but am a bit embarrassed about going on my own, I know, stupid me. There are classes at my sister gym in Bury, I'll look into it, might even do another this week!!! I am a bit scared that I like exercise now!!!

YP1 10-04-2005 02:00 PM

It's a :censored: conspiracy :(

First free danish pastries and croissants by the thousand at work (I had half a danish pastry) then I go to buy some books at Borders and get given a free chocolate bar at the checkout. Do they know it's not good to tempt me?

I've taken the plunge and signed up for a Spanish course, but I'm a bit worried it will be too basic for me. I've done a fair amount of teach yourself stuff and I visit Spain a lot so I'm fairly good at reading (I read Spanish newspaper articles sometimes when my parents forward me something interest) but I'm rubbish at speaking/pronounciation. At the college I'm going to you can only sign up for the most basic course (beginners 1) unless you do a test so they can put you at the right level, but due to being disorganised all the test dates have passed because courses start next week, so I can only do the basic one, but I want to make a start on something this term not in spring. I've signed up for it but not paid yet so I'm still pondering...

veggie 10-04-2005 03:48 PM

Secret :ziplip: news :ziplip: from :ziplip: fat :ziplip: club! ;) Slimming world are doing something with Fitness First and members of sw and ff will get discounted membership of each other. Also sw scales are going chip and pin! Or something! ;) It's a secret don't tell anyone. :p

kykaree 10-04-2005 05:28 PM

oooh does this mean you will be joining the gym??????

I just watched a show on BBC2 tonight about a bulimic mother, and her daughter who is now also bullimic. It was really tragic. http://www.pocklingtontoday.co.uk/Vi...icleID=1204091

She won Slimmer of the Year in Yorkshire for Slimming World, but actually achieved her goal weight by practicing her bullimia, which is just so sad. She's now gone on to have a gastric bypass.

It just made me think, there but for the grace of god and all that. I've never had bulimia, (I couldn't stand the throwing up, I cry whenever I have a poorly tum!), but it makes you realise when you hear their stories, just how close my overeating was to bulimia.

veggie 10-04-2005 06:22 PM

I meant to watch the bulimic programme but I watched the Robert Carlyle thing on itv and forgot. Apparently my nearest FF gym is Preston. Hmm a bit far. :p

kykaree 10-04-2005 06:29 PM

Gosh, you may as well come and work out with me in Ramsbottom, or YP in Leeds!!!!!

It was good, very graphic, and I had to look away in some bits (they did warn first when they showed something yucky) I felt like smacking the woman though, not before I punched her horrible husband first. He kept going on and on about how he liked her better slim, and he kept moaning about the money she spent on food each month, but he gives her the money even though she earns herself. And he made her cry. Talk about reinforcing her behaviour, pig. Like anything I thnk bullimia, anorexia and obesity in general, needs a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, flexible approach if its going to be successful in the long term.

And it was really sad how she has given her daughters such mixed messages about their bodies. Her daughter who has bulimia had anorexia first, and is still dangerously underweight.

Karen (the mother) has had loads of counselling, tried medication, but no one has managed to treat her problem, and now she has had the gastric by pass, and hasn't dealt with the causes of her problem, so goodness knows how she is going to end up, because her tummy isn't going to be able to cope with the purging now.

veggie 10-04-2005 06:33 PM

I always want to punch blokes on tv especially on Wife Swap. :D

kykaree 10-04-2005 06:37 PM

I have to be physically restrained during wife swap!!! Like the man who expected his wife to dress like some Japanese geisha every night when he came home, and got jealous if she spent time with her child prodigy kid who was completely neglected, and was only brilliant at music because he never had a chance to do anything else. Not that I am angry about that, no not me.

But this guy really annoyed me, because he came across as the sweet loving husband in his pieces to camera, talking about her illness, and wanting to help her get over it and lead a normal life, but then whenever they interacted, he started criticising her weight, and her depression, and made her cry, and reach for vodka, then food.

A pig who knows he is a pig is one thing, a pig who pretends he is a knight in shining armour, is quite another.

2frustrated 10-05-2005 03:33 AM

Oooh that sounds like an interesting programme!

Went kickboxing last night - apparently my kicks have improved when I spar. :D I reckon that's cos of all the :censored: grading practice we've been doing for the past 2 months!

Feeling weary today - v dehydrated for no particular reason (might've been that hot bath last night actually!) and got a headache and have a project meeting this morning! At least I don't have to do any proper work!

kykaree 10-05-2005 03:58 AM

I know Cat will tell me off again for asking too many questions :p but what sort of kickboxing is it that you do? Is it Muay Thai or something else? Do you spar from the start or just do other stuff til you get used to it?

After reading your posts yesterday I have done some research in the Bury area, and have found a Muay Thai and a Jiu Jitsu school. I really should do it again, a) because it's fun b) because it's a good workout and c) I'm getting a bit bored, and aerobics and yoga and pilates are not quite my scene!!!
