 It's "Shentie Freestyle Kickboxing" Which is no-where near as hardcore as muay thai! We do spar straight from being beginners, but it's usually no contact till you get hardcore!

Shentie kickboxing only takes place in Hounslow cos it's my instructor who "invented" it! These guys all like to be different! I'd give you the website for it, but it's under construction! You can have a look as soon as it's finished!

kykaree 10-05-2005 06:36 AM

The Bury Muay Thai website I found looked a tad "serious", I just want to have some fun, I don't want to turn into some hardcore scary martial arts wielding fat chick!!!!

I'd like to convince someone to do it with me, I hate doing new things on my own! I used to do jiu jitsu with the ex hubby, before he was my ex!!!! The only thing he was good for - kicking practice!!!!

2frustrated 10-05-2005 07:39 AM

 Sometimes mine gets used as a punchbag! He likes it really ;)

You'll meet lots of great people there! I went by myself to start off with. They'll all be really friendly. If you go by yourself, you're more likely to concentrate on what you're doing rather than what your mate's doing!!

After reading your posts yesterday I have done some research in the Bury area, and have found a Muay Thai and a Jiu Jitsu school. I really should do it again, a) because it's fun b) because it's a good workout and c) I'm getting a bit bored, and aerobics and yoga and pilates are not quite my scene!!!

You ask all you want I will deal with that Cat :rollpin: :rollpin: :rollpin: :rollpin: :rollpin: :rollpin: She likes being hit with that

kykaree 10-05-2005 02:08 PM

Poor cat!!! She'll have a very sore botty!!!!

I've been shopping again, this time for d "what am I going to wear on my hols" h. Normal people would just shop, but oh no, not him, he just looks pitiful and worries away, so shop I did and he now has classy t-shirts from Bury Market and a pair of shorts!!! Legs!!! Argh!!!

I don't normally tell about bedroom activities in my postings, but last night was so funny. I had asthma last night and got up for a coffee. I went back to bed and Col was asleep but started asking me where the nine went. We ended up having a fifteen minute sleep Sudoku conversation, it was hilarious, and in the end he decided he had no idea what numbers were already in the squares and didn't want to play anymore!!! Mad man!!!

I was going to go to aqua aerobics tonight, but I fell asleep, and woke up too late to go!!! I did do gym this morning, so I'm not too terrible.

veggie 10-05-2005 02:14 PM

I love Sudoku but it makes me angry so I'm having a break. I haven't yet  played it in my sleep though.

kykaree 10-05-2005 02:19 PM

It's not my cup of tea. I don't like things that frustrate me!!! I don't mind helping on Col's though.

I've never cared for anything like that, or cards, or boardgames. Strange.

Here is another pic from the wedding, with the amazing sleeping suduko champion!!!!

YP1 10-05-2005 05:03 PM

Aww!!!

I'm pissed. On a Wednesday. Not good.

Very pissed.

veggie 10-05-2005 07:07 PM

Lovely pic Kykaree

YP what you been drinking then? I've had some gin :o tonight whilst watching The Apprentice USA final oh it was long.

YP1 10-06-2005 12:48 AM

wine. lots of lovely red wine.

not hungover :D

2frustrated 10-06-2005 03:35 AM

Awww bless, cute pic Kyk! I like that, sleep Sudoku! I got a little carried away with online sudoku, but now I have substituted for Dynomite on Yahoo games. I often fall asleep thinking about that!! Crazy or what! I must give it up!

Had a nice early night last night after my weights. There must be something wrong with DF, he doesn't usually want to go to sleep at 9.30!! I'm not complaining though :D

kykaree 10-06-2005 05:07 AM

I used to play too much Wipeout on the Playstation, and used to whizz around corners in my sleep, blowing other ships up!!!

I slept for four hours yesterday afternoon, my asthma is not too clever at the moment, darn manflu!!! And slept a full night last night, I must be going into hibernation!!!! I did a long swim today, until the invasion of the brats!!!! School swimming lessons!!! Grrrrrrrrrr

2frustrated 10-06-2005 05:31 AM

Wawww poor kyk - get more Lemsip Max down yer neck! Mmmmmmm hibernation... If only I could get the time off work!

veggie 10-06-2005 11:30 AM

I used to play Wipeout now it's mostly Sudoku (I had to give up a fiendish one last night drove me mad) and the occasional internet arcade game. :p

YP1 10-06-2005 03:34 PM

I paid for my Spanish course today so I'm definitely on for it. No hangover from last night so I followed up with a huge three course meal at the fantastic Greek near me and a couple of beers. Definitely maintainance month this month...

I'm sure I'm going mad. I arranged a telephone conference for Monday completely forgetting that I'll be in Marrakesh. My boss loved me when I gave her that particular hospital pass...

cat90 10-06-2005 05:46 PM

OOOH :rollpin: I WAS going to ask what Sudoku is :dunno: but i'm flaming well not now :lol3: after reading page 3! I've had enough of Veggie's :rollpin:

Just got back from quack's and she's given me something to help me get some ZZZZZZ's  i'm that tired that my eyes are spinning around in my head :tired:  she's very sympathetic to my insomniac disposition as she suffers with it occasionally herself  and she's determined to find something to help me because she can't understand how I can function when i've been awake all night  I told her it does'nt bother me really, it feels a bit like jet lag..i'll be flagging for about ten minutes then i'm OK again :dunno: the only thing that does bother me is my eyes  they feel like they are full of grit  I feel like taking a pill now and snuggling up in bed but seeing as its only 2.45pm i'd better not because i'll probably wake up at 6pm and then be awake all night  i've taped my soaps so i'm going to curl up on my lazyboy with some choccies..a brew..and my heat/massage pad on my back :cloud9:

veggie 10-06-2005 07:55 PM

It's a good job I know that Cat likes me really. :rollpin: :p Sudoku is a puzzle that is sweeping the nation. :D You have to fill in the grid so that every row, every column, and every 3x3 box contains the digits 1 through 9. All the papers and mags have them in, even the trashy ones I read. :D It started off in The Times but they all have them now, The Mirror website has an online interactive one. I'm addicted. :headache:

2frustrated 10-07-2005 03:30 AM

Kickboxing last night! YAY! Me and my sciatic nerve are having ISSUES! :rollpin:

kykaree 10-07-2005 06:15 AM

:tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: Sciatic nerve!!!! That must be so painful!!!

There be brats in the pool today, loads of em, one school, two nurseries and the biggest brats of all, the staff doing lifesaving lessons!!! Still managed to do lots of swimming, and my asthma feels a lot better for it today. I am hoping it clears up before Turkey!!!!!

And any ideas, I have a masquerade ball coming up in December. Any ideas on where I can find a decent fancy but not too expensive dress, in a size 18, might even get away with a 16 in a loose skirt by then!!!

veggie 10-07-2005 09:38 AM

Masquerade ball that's fancy I am obviously moving in the wrong circles. ;)

kykaree 10-07-2005 11:08 AM

My team at work do it every year, apparently!!! I don't normally move in such circles either!!! ;)

veggie 10-07-2005 02:24 PM

I can't believe it either ;) I have a massive headache brought on by a phone call saying I haven't paid a bill for 3 months :o :o It's now paid but my head nearly blew up in the process. :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache:

kykaree 10-07-2005 04:25 PM

Stress should be outlawed on Fridays!!! We're having a girl come and look after our cat while we'er away, she was meant to be here at 5.30, I waited til 7.30 then went round to hers, no apology, nothing, she's meant to be coming around in the morning now. Now I'm stressed that if she's not reliable when we're home, what will she be like looking after the cat!!!!

cat90 10-07-2005 11:09 PM

Awww poor Cat :dunno: you could always leave 7? or 14? plates of food out for it :joker:  always makes me laugh when I hear stories of people doing that :lol3: I hope she does'nt let you down Kylie

Sleeping pills were useless :tantrum: last time I looked at clock it was 12.35am the next time it was 1.50am then the rain started pouring at 3.45am  so I listened to that for half an hour because our gutter overflows and sounds like someone is emptying a bathtub on the deck  then I gave up trying to get to sleep  I hope I do better tonight :)

kykaree 10-08-2005 04:13 AM

She's coming around this morning, I am disappearing and letting MOTH do it. We normally have a lady from up the street come around when we are on hols, but last time her hubby fell ill and she had to mobilise other people to come around to our house, so we don't like to ask again, but at least she's reliable. She's a witch(really) and smells of patchouli oil, so the house smells lovely for a week, but makes us sneeze!!!!

I'm off to Bury for a bit of last minute shopping, need to eradicate some hair from various bits and need some equipment to do so!!! LOL

Off to Turkey tomorrow, what am I going to do without 3FC for a week???

veggie 10-08-2005 08:44 AM

Witches must be good with cats, look at Meg and Mog.

Hope you have nice hol Kyk :D

Cat stop clock watching ;)

cat90 10-08-2005 09:50 PM

I'm sure you'll manage Kylie ;) hope you get lots of :sunny: while you're away :D whats the weather like in Turkey in October? :dunno: cooler but still nice? i'm sure it will be better than Ramsbottom anyway  Have a great time!

Does'nt seem like Saturday to me  had to go into work for another orientation meeting  but at least they paid for the pizza and pop (no beer :rollpin: ) and threw chocolate bars out to the crowd when they got an answer right  we're like a bunch of trained chimps  when he said certain words we had to react in different ways ( like simple simon  ) stand up, the wave, wink or clap :nono: the novelty of that wore off pretty quick I can tell you  it made the time go anyway  When I got home I was'nt much better :( i've eaten more pizza..2 lge kitkats and peanut M+M's and i'm going to have a beer now :yikes: (or two he-he ) then I plan to Veg all night  exciting saturday night eh?

kykaree 10-09-2005 02:29 AM

It's about 26 - 28 degrees celsius, but I think it will rain a bit. :rain: And it's Ramadan, which isn't the most sensible time of year to go to Turkey, but hey ho!!!! We'll just do as the locals do and eat big breakfasts, big dinners and no lunch. Not expecting to lose weight in Turkey. Was practicing out of the phrase book last night, and the only things I can master are chocolate, icecream and octopus

We're all packed and organised, I am off to the gym :yikes:

If I don't get on again before I go, I'll miss you all, have a good week!

2frustrated 10-09-2005 04:52 AM

Wooo Kyk, have a nice time when you go! I've been MIA cos we've cancelled the broadband, now on DIAL UP! :faint: And I couldn't be bothered to sort it out on Friday night!

Went to Borough Market yesterday and bought LOVELY organic food and didn't buy chocolate brownies, but pinched 2 "samples" from their tray! Stayed on plan yesterday :cp: :faint:  apart from my evening meal, which was a planned "free" meal! :hyper: I had plaice and chips. I didn't eat all of the HUGE MOUNTAIN of chips, even though they were gorgeous. We were going to go to a different pub for dessert but we decided to stop off at Tesco on the way home. Bought chocolate chip cake bars, chocolate cookies, ice cream and chocolate buttons. Came home and made a huge sundae thing, then I only ate the ice-cream bit cos the rest tasted awful!

I'd just like to repeat that - chocolate cookies and chocolate chip cake bars TASTED AWFUL! :faint: I never thought I'd say that. :D :tape: I think I need to be committed now! :dizzy:

YP I have discovered Kashi cereal. They only have it in Waitrose :dz: where I go on a Friday for my "treats" of good food! It's 12% protein :faint: That's almost as much as cottage cheese! :faint: I like it! :D

Oh blimey and I went bra shopping yesterday  I HATE shopping for something specific... So to cut a LONG LONG story short, I am a 32DD :faint: A 32DD!!!!!!!! I found 2 bras in the WHOLE of Debenhams on Oxford Street in that size. I bought one of them! I am fumin' that I have such a STUPID bra size! I nearly cried when I couldn't find a 32DD in a lovely Jasper Conran bra. I know figleaves have lots in that size so that's my next place for pretty bra shopping! Hopefully I might lose some more fat and go down another cup size. 32Ds were much easier to find! :tantrum:

Trying to stay on plan today - DH is doing a shift for the BTP so I'm in on my own to do the housework :dz: Although - bless him - he was washing up at 5am! He was feeling guilty for shouting at me for not washing his shirts last night. Since when was I the only person capable of using the washing machine?!

Everyone, have a lovely lazy Sunday, I night check back later if I feel the urge to pig out! :goodvibes:

veggie 10-09-2005 03:30 PM

Why have you cancelled your broadband? Why? Why? Why?

2frustrated 10-09-2005 03:43 PM

Cos it was costing us too much moolah! And we both use the internet at work and rarely use it at home! That's why!

I will look into cheaper broadband if we feel the need later, but for now, it's not bad!

Just done my weights :D and had a GREAT eating day today! But a filling fell out! :tantrum:  Going to have to find a dentist now

cat90 10-09-2005 05:56 PM

Its a lot warmer in Turkey than I thought it would be :) but I would'nt go around saying Octopus too much :p I'd stick with the chocolate and ice cream

Frus, I though Kashi tasted like cardboard :dunno: I've NEVER heard anyone say anything good about it until now

Its Thanksgiving over here tomorrow but I don't bother about it  i'll be having roast beef ;) and we get the day off :cp: so thats alright :D i'm not dressed yet  never mind its only 3pm :joker:

veggie 10-10-2005 02:01 PM

My broadband is £15 with tiscali it's not the fastest but is fine.

Happy day off Cat :cp:

It's my brothers birthday tomorrow so dunno if will go to fat club...we've just had chip shop chips and curry sauce. :o

2frustrated 10-11-2005 03:46 AM

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm chips!

Went to lacrosse last night. I officially hate it. It's worse than being at school. Nobody passed me the ball! :tantrum: If I hadn't aready paid for the year and bought a brand new stick I'd have quit! I'm going to keep going though... It will make me stronger!

Oh yeah, sickening story! Well Sunday night was the WORST night I've had in ages, I got elbowed and poked and arms in my face and pushed out of bed! So I was not a happy bunny! It made my back really sore too! So I was moaning and moaning at him in the morning. Oh did I also mention I washed and ironed all his work clothes on Sunday? Anyways he was feeling quite guilty cos I'd been doing lots of housework, then he goes and keeps me awake all night!

So yesterday I get in at 5:45 and have a nap before he comes in around 7:15. He rang the doorbell so I had to get out of bed, but there was a big HUGE bunch of roses and lillies and a nice Finest bar of chocolate that came through the door first! :faint: :D :D

My gf says I've got him well trained!

Oh and I had lovely grilled pork for tea! :T Good day yesterday apart from the $hitty lacrosse!

cat90 10-11-2005 03:11 PM

Aaaahhh what a lovely gesture :encore: :D you HAVE got him well trained

I've been a couch potato for two days  did'nt even bother to get dressed  I did have showers but I just put my cosy dressing gown back on  its back to the grindstone today :p 1-9pm shift :rollpin: I don't like this one..I don't know why but it drags a bit :dunno: just going to have a bit of lunch and then make a flask..Have a Good Day

Give us a chip Veggie :T :T

2frustrated 10-12-2005 03:29 AM

I got my orange belt! Far from being the 1 I was hoping for, or the 2 I was expecting - I got a 3! Crazy! They reckon to get your belt the next time after getting a 3, you have to get a 1 (very very good mark), but I was talking to the mega-hard lass and she said she's had 3s for all her belts, so I guess I'll be ok. I'm talking to the instructor tomorrow about fast-track black belt, so my 3 may not even count at all... :dunno: Oh and the belt's so long that not only does it wrap round 3 times, but there's lots of room to spare!

veggie 10-12-2005 08:50 AM

Well done 2frus :bravo: I think. All this 1 2 and 3 thing is confusing me.

2frustrated 10-12-2005 08:55 AM

:dizzy: I'm confused too! I got my belt and that's all that matters :D :D
