Well my "proper dinner" is cooking at the moment. I did have an "invite" from Dom to go out for dinner in central London, but I just couldn't be bothered to get on the bus and I told him I had healthy food to eat up!  My halo is positively glowing DAHLING!

cat90 08-26-2005 01:08 PM

Errr, I can't help you there Frus :dunno: i've never heard of Seven for mankind jeans :halfempty

I totally blew it yesterday  did so well then went down to workshop last night because I was bored and hubby started giving me beer  then when I made his tea I nicked some chips and made a chip butty :T then when he made an icecream cone I had to have one too..I ate it even though i'm not keen on that brand :p  soooo I ended up having around 2000 cals and 38g fat :rollpin: I've got to think of something here because what i'm doing ain't working :lol3:

2frustrated 08-26-2005 01:47 PM

Oh dear cat! God knows what to suggest! A health farm?? Pack hubby off to his workshop with his junkfood and just keep the healthy stuff in the house??

2000 cals ain't too bad anyways, that's a maintenance figure!

cat90 08-26-2005 03:25 PM

Yeh..I was surprised actually   well, its friday and its "against the law" as Veggie would say not to drink alcohol on friday or saturday night  so I can't see today being much better  i'm off for my lunch..chickburger on bun with superfries :hun: :T

veggie 08-27-2005 12:44 PM

My laws only apply to this country! I haven't taken over Canada yet. ;)

cat90 08-27-2005 04:28 PM

No? :halfempty Well the :queen: rules us so i'm going to abide by "Veggie Laws" or make some of my own up  I made some high fibre cookies/cakes yesterday and I can't keep my mitts off them  think i'll go out for a lottery ticket keep my mind off grub :T

cat90 08-27-2005 08:22 PM

I'm back from Cornwall, and having to catch up on a whole week's worth of posts! Kim is unpacking and doing washing and all that sort of thing, and I'm just sitting at the 'puter catching up on all the gossip!

The tent didn't blow away or let in too much water, and I tried to have a good holiday without letting the healthy lifestyle go to pot. In the 7 days we were there I had one and a half cream teas, one (huge) ice-cream, three bacon butties, one fry-up, NO cornish pasties, NO chips, about 3 pints of lager and 2 bottles of red wine, and 5 pub/restaurant meals, all of which included fresh veggies. Though we only did one longish walk (6 miles of the coastal path taking in Lamorna Cove) we did lots of little ones...and I came back a pound lighter than when I left! :D :cb: Yay me!

I loved Cornwall and the camping was fun, but it's nice to be back so I can find out what everyone else has been up to!

Oh, and I mustn't forget to say - I bought a sweatshirt in Newquay and I had to get the L rather than the XL (and I was ALMOST tempted to get the M!) I can't remember the last time I bought something that wasn't an XL! Every time I wore it for the rest of the holiday I felt like Calista Flockhart!

Holidays are nice but it's good to be home...

Janey ;)

Yay that's the way it should be. :D

Wow  Well Done with the weightloss Janey :cp: glad you had a nice holiday :D

Back from a weekend of drinking and shopping in Cardiff.

Two of my favourite things in the world... Bought lots of cheap skinny clothes (let's all pray to the god of Primark) and felt hot hot hot on Saturday night. That was helped by the fact that my top was (whisper it) a size 12. They didn't have it any bigger, so I tried it on and it looked surprisingly good. Admittedly my jeans were still size 16, but there's definite progress. Plus I met a load of people I've not seen for a while who were suitably impressed.

Mazarin 08-29-2005 04:11 PM

Boo Hoo, I am going downhill.... Okay first I have kept up the swimming, but I think I am worried about taking the Glucose Tolerence Test on Wednesday morning that I have been comfort eating a little over the past 24 hours... which is bad, so bad it kept me awake last night!

I know just want to get Wednesday over so I can get back onto track! I am not weighing myself, I dare now cause that will make me DEPRESSED... :( but I am guessing a few pounds are back on since about Saturday....

Oh well I fell off the wagon, I will jump back on! ;)

cat90 08-29-2005 04:24 PM

DON'T get on the scales Maz :nono: what you don't know won't hurt you  get back on track girl and forget about it ;)

cat90 08-29-2005 04:27 PM

Hey did you ever make a decision about the new place? did I miss that? :dunno:

I love Primark YP  think the last time I spoke to my daughter she said all the winter stuff is out now

miranoron 08-29-2005 04:35 PM

Fitting end to the month I resolved to 'work hard' at losing weight--no exercise, loads of junk food, plastered most of the weekend. I don't think I've actually lost any weight at all the whole month, hah! Oh well, there's always September... :dz:

cat90 08-29-2005 04:40 PM

Hmmmph :rollpin: Doc referred to me as "stout" this morning  if that don't get me losing lard then nothing will :lol3: but on the plus side my "heart" got the all clear but as he said "that does'nt mean that you won't drop dead tomorrow from a blood clot" :fr:   what a pleasant :censored:

2frustrated 08-30-2005 03:41 AM

STOUT! Ouch!

I have been bad bad bad Frus all bank holiday weekend! That's 3 days of pure bingeing rather than just the usual two!

Had a nice weekend. Natural History Museum and Primark on Saturday, Tesco's walk in the woods and lazing around on Sunday, Notting Hill Carnival and Primark and lazing around on Monday! And lots and LOTS of eating! :(

YP I am now officially in competition with you! I'm a size 12 (sometimes) on top and a 16 trouser! I'm racing you for skinniness and I need something to get my butt in gear!

I am going to be totally back on track now! I've even decided not to go and see my parents this coming weekend and instead concentrate on having a healthy weekend rather than a blowout weekend! Dom is away so it should be easy peasy! I think I might just take it easy and potter down to Topshop for some retail therapy and some inspiration clothes! He he he!

YP1 08-30-2005 01:51 PM

Right, I'm going to kick *** for the next 4 weeks. I seem to have been stuck at about 198-199.5 for a lifetime (well, 2 weeks or so at least) so it's time to get moving again. I'm aiming for a size 14 before I go to Morocco in October and then (in my dreams) a size 12 for Christmas).

Frus, I think you're winning, I'm only a 12 on top at the moment when I get very very lucky...

YP1 08-30-2005 01:54 PM

By the way, I know this is a long shot, but I don't suppose anyone can think of anything remotely healthy to do with brie? My mother loves the stuff and managed to acquire TWO of them over the weekend, then went home without eating them, leaving them in my fridge staring at me. It seems a shame to throw them out...

cat90 08-30-2005 02:03 PM

:chin: Can't think of a thing :dunno: use it as a doorstop? I think you might have to google :mag: it YP :)

miranoron 08-30-2005 04:24 PM

I'd throw them out but that's just me. Too dangerous!

cat90 08-30-2005 04:41 PM

Be nice ;) and give 'em to friends? or neighbours :D any little old ladies in your street? i'm sure they'd be thankful for them :)

Its kinda miserable and rainy here today so thats put paid to any idea I had of going out on my :scooter: :( yesterday was my first real day in traffic :fr: I went to the mall you'd have been proud of me Frus  i've been around on it but only local where its not too busy so yesterday I had to deal with traffic lights and construction etc. I enjoyed myself it was fun :D not sure about the rest of the drivers though
I feel good just had a shower now i'm going to have my lunch..a bit late but I had a late brekky too

2frustrated 08-31-2005 03:40 AM

Brie is actually healthier than cheddar! less fat and calories and everything! I eat it as one of my "healthy" cheeses! I think there's about 300 kcals in 100g! :T

EAT IT! I usually have it on crackers or on its own or with some nice bread! :T

Well done with your bikey cat! I was having a nightmare with mine yesterday! Sooooo much traffic, I dunno if you heard, but a lorry full of Hydrochloric acid EXPLODED on the M25 last night! So that was fun! Right where I was going as well! No-one was hurt so that's ok!

Feeling fat and frumpy today! My "big" work trousers (16) are tight on me today! They are usually quite loose. Dom said this morning, "You might have put on water or something?" Bless that man! I'm trying to flush it all out by drinking lots, but it didn't work yesterday!

YP1 08-31-2005 02:11 PM

Wahey! Not that I needed an excuse, having already nibbled some today...

And my weight was even back down to 198 this morning. I've been fluctuating between there and 199.5 for far too long, but at least I'm back at the lower end of that range now so hopefully ready to start losing again!

cat90 08-31-2005 02:45 PM

Wow Frus..I did'nt hear that :nono: i'm so glad that no-one was hurt :D I'm currently peddling :ebike: away while I :comp: it was a good idea this because I would'nt normally do it (I find an exercise bike a bit boring  ) and now i've racked up an hour..its gone so fast :cp: is a beautiful day today :sunny: perfect for going on a :scooter: ride :D HAVE A GREAT DAY
