Ooh I did wonder if that meet up was still on :) I think it was a secret one in the end ;) :sssh: Glad you had a good time.

2frustrated 08-21-2005 03:58 AM

Glad you girlies had a good time. I would've come if I was staying with mummy and daddy!

Had a girlie night last night! I woke them all up early today though with frying bacon!

veggie 08-21-2005 01:34 PM

Where are the details? What you had, where you went, what you said, I want it all! :D Oh and pics of course!

YP1 08-21-2005 02:29 PM

No pics...

Walked round Leeds for a bit, had lunch and a couple of drinks. Went shopping. Started drinking cocktails...

A lot of fun, shops, drinks and brilliant company!

cat90 08-21-2005 07:14 PM

Yeh we've heard it all before "Started drinking cocktails" :blah: :blah: :blah: :joker:

Mazarin 08-22-2005 03:29 AM

Thanx Veggie.... I am still sticking it out! even though there is a nice bag of thorntons chocs on my team leaders desk about 50 yards away from me!

Off to the gym tonight, not been since Thursday, but it was a bit of a busy day Saturday and Sunday, well I won't go there..... I miss the gym I need to do some swimming!

2frustrated 08-22-2005 01:41 PM

:T Mmmm Thorntons!

I've had a lovely lovely dinner tonight that I was really looking forward to! It was: pork medallions with a jacket potato and corn on the cob! Sounds boring, but when you live on jacket potato with cottage cheese, anything's exciting!

I used to be really really picky as a child and I just sent my Mum a text message telling her I'm eating grown up food! She asked what happened to the Marmite soldiers and gingerbread men! Oooooh gingerbread men... If only someone made some with protein powder in! Now there's an idea..... :lol3:

cat90 08-22-2005 01:44 PM

Well..I need to go 'cold turkey' here :dunno: I just can't get motivated so i'm going to try the shake..shake..sensible meal thing this week  we'll see if I get through today  I've got the shakes in so it is'nt costing me anything and if I can lose 2 or 3lbs this week it just might have the desired effect and get me going :hyper:

cat90 08-22-2005 01:47 PM

:T That dinner sounds good to me Frus :hun: why don't you try making some high protein gingerbread men..ginger biscuits are supposed to be low in fat are'nt they?

2frustrated 08-22-2005 01:48 PM

:dunno: I am going to experiment next weekend... Three days to fill with gingerbread men! :T I think gingerbread men have a lot of SYRUP in though!

cat90 08-22-2005 01:53 PM

 Now I did'nt even think that that was an ingredient  I think I have a W.W. recipe for ginger biscuits i'll have a look and we'll collaberate :wizard: :lol3:

Mazarin 08-22-2005 01:56 PM

:nono:  :nono: :nono:  :nono:  :nono:

BOO HOO

Bad Sunday, someone made my mood worse this morning, and I was craving something bad.... so what did I do!

McDonalds for dinner, buy one get one free on a BIG MAC! :burger: :yikes: :mcd:

I am so baddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

Still it's just one little laspe, and I ain't dived for chocs yet, even though I could murder several mars bars!!!

I did go to the gym.... :strong: :dancer: :ebike: :wl:

2frustrated 08-22-2005 01:57 PM

Excellent (In a Mr Burns type way...)

I'm sure the ones I make are choc full of syrup :T :T They're be-ro gingerbread men! I shall have to search and have a good old experiment!

cat90 08-22-2005 01:57 PM

Oooh :hyper: I've found a recipe for Ginger cookies and they're 1pt/46cals each :hyper: there is molasses in this recipe..just a 1/4 cup though ;) and 1g protein in every cookie so they're not so bad right now ;)

2frustrated 08-22-2005 01:58 PM

Oooh Maz, quick, watch Super Size ME! Or play the song...!

Go and beat the heck outta sommat!

2frustrated 08-22-2005 02:01 PM

cool cat, can you PM me? I've found a recipe with milk in! :hyper:

cat90 08-22-2005 02:03 PM

Gosh..I have so many yummy recipes in this file :T I don't know why I ever quit doing W.W. ( :sssh: I do really I got too lazy to go to the trouble of baking  )

Never mind Maz :grouphug: at least you were good  and went to the gym :cp:

cat90 08-22-2005 02:17 PM

I've sent the recipe Frus ;) so start experimenting  btw who is Mr Burns? :dunno:

2frustrated 08-22-2005 02:19 PM

The old old guy in the Simpsons...

He says Eeeeeeeeexcellent and twiddles his fingers together!

Off to cook for him indoors if he gets his butt home!

cat90 08-22-2005 02:51 PM

 Now I know who he is :)

YP1 08-22-2005 04:51 PM

I'm absolutely stuffed. A lovely three course meal at the nicest Greek restaurant this side of Greece. I'm just not used to eating that amount.

Although I'm quite pleased with my choices. I had a spinach and feta pie for main course and a slice of cheesecake with a huge heap of berries on the side for dessert, so at least I got my fruit and veg portions.

Not that I'm necessarily as pleased about the beer and ouzo...

I think I'll need a long run in the morning though.

kykaree 08-22-2005 05:21 PM

Ah well, at least we were relatively virtuous on Saturday, we even walked right past the chocolate shop!!!!

I have ahd a good day today, even did a walk at lunch. I am getting sick of training, am sitting in a class room looking at a computer all day, and it's getting a bit boring. Can't wait for the real work to start next week!

I miss baking, I used to do so much of it. I can't even do healthy baking, because I have no will power. My theory is if it ain't in the house, I can't eat it!

cat90 08-22-2005 05:44 PM

Thats a good theory ;) if I lived on my own I think i'd practice it  i'd only buy lowcal/fat treats :) i'm sure it would work especially when a binge is on the horizon :corn: thats the reason I don't bake very much :dunno: because I have no control and even low cal biscuits make you fat if you eat enough of them  good job hubby vacuums everything up without worrying about it  but on the downside everything goes in one foul swoop and then i'm :censored: off because of all the trouble I went to and there is none left :yikes:

YP1 08-23-2005 02:15 PM

One for Kylie - I found the Levis in Debenhams, they were tucked away in the middle of the John Rocha stuff.

Anyway, they fastened, although they were a bit tighter than I'd have liked them, and there was a distinct roll-over at the top. They were also a bit more expensive than I'd have liked them, and they're still in the shop :)

cat90 08-23-2005 06:49 PM

Don't all jeans have a definite roll-over at the top? I know mine do :rollpin: ahh well it will be nice when we need belts to keep them up

By 'eck its quiet around here :listen: where's Frus? making gingerbread men? :T
I made a Lancashire Hotpot today :T with a fattening crust on top  had some for my lunch so I went on my :tread: for an hour just now in the hopes of burning some off  its massive :yikes: made it for the lads at the workshop but they'd all gone out so me and hubby will be eating it tonight and perhaps tomorrow too
off for a shower now and then for a spin on my :scooter:

kykaree 08-24-2005 01:36 AM

Grrrrrrrrrrrr I thought we looked everywhere for those danged things!!!!! It's very cool that they fit though, not long and they'll look fabulous!!!! How much were they???

They had Lancashire Hotpot on the menu at work yesterday, but I avoided it, I like it, but I was virtuous and went for the salmon. We have the best work cafeteria ever!!! There were banana and pineapple fritters for dessert, and I really wanted one, I kept debating, and the two others at my table decided we would share one, but when I went to get it, it looked horrible!!! Disaster averted!!!! My strange friend Hiba got custard, then got some normal bananas out of her handbag, so we had banana custard fondue!! Very strange!!!

2frustrated 08-24-2005 03:26 AM

Cat I'm here! Don't call the emergency services yet! Been feeling a bit under the weather :dunno: but went kickboxing last night anyway, then went home and straight to bed with a protein shake!

I think I'm going to take this week off weights. At least until I feel better!

Haven't made any gingerbread men yet! I'm saving that treat for bank holiday weekend!

2frustrated 08-24-2005 08:52 AM

I have just bought some flaxseed oil on a whim.. Ah EFAs! I've been reading all about their goodness on some quack website

Seriously, they are very good for you, but the expert seemed a bit of a nutter!

I've also stocked up on my protein powder in the Holland and Barrat sale! :D

I really must stop drinking pepsi... I've now got the shakes :hyper: Damn you all to **** healthy foods and tiredness and goddam pepsi!

2frustrated 08-24-2005 11:36 AM

Calling KYK!

How often do you have your "maintenance week"? I like the idea, and since I'm feeling a bit poo, I thought I might take one this week and work it into the BIG PICTURE!

cat90 08-24-2005 12:59 PM

Hope you feel better soon Frus :grouphug: take it easy for a few days :)

Well, that hotpot was really good :T but it sent everything to pot  I was at hubbies workshop last night discussing a small problem I had with my car :mag: we drank Buds while we were discussing it  then we had the hotpot then I fancied "something sweet" :chin: (I blame the beers :nono: ) I ended up eating two big chocolate caramel biscuits (similar to twix but twice as bad  ) :halfempty i've been awake all night don't know if it was the beer or the fact that I was listening to hubby breathe  inbetween his snoring fits :rollpin: so I ended up giving up trying to sleep and got up to read magazines  had my "first" breakfast at 6.30am and my "second" one at 9am  a drawback of being up all night is that you get hungry earlier too :lol3: so i'm going to have to watch it today or i'll end up blowing it again.

YP1 08-24-2005 01:52 PM

I think they were £65ish. They didn't have 501s, but they were definitely Levis.

I need an alarm or something to stop me going into shops. Today I bought a dress, a skirt and two tops from Warehouse :o Financial disaster was averted though - despite the full prices adding up to a whopping £143, everything in the sale was £5 so I walked out a mere £20 poorer. And to be fair to me, there were quite of few things that I tried on and didn't buy...

cat90 08-24-2005 02:49 PM

Gawd is it 65 quid for a pair of jeans :?: :yikes: I only pay 15 quid for my Levi's think i'd better start shipping them over

Wow you did well YP :cp: well worth the 20 quid investment if you ask me ;)

Forgot to tell you :hyper: all the HALLOWEEN CANDY is in the stores :fr: HELP ME!

kykaree 08-25-2005 01:11 AM

Hi frus, I do my maintenance week every two months, roughly, sometimes a week earlier or later if there is something on, like my birthday, or towards the end of this month, a friends wedding.

I can't wait to be able to shop at Warehouse. I have a bit more choice of shops now, but just not quite enough for my liking!!! The big shopping trip for the wedding is coming up next week, I can't wait!!!!

2frustrated 08-25-2005 03:27 AM

Hmm ok, well since I've only been properly on plan for a month, I'll take yesterday afternoon as an "afternoon off"!

We had chips... And because it was such a minging day, pouring down constantly and I was so wet when I got home I made a hot chocolate. With marshmallows! Then Dom brought chips so I ended up having half a (whopping) portion of chips and I also snuck in some cake... and about 5 pringles... I wanted some Green and Black's that we had in the fridge, but I didn't get round to it! Yay me!

Ah well, back to it today! The saturated fat probably did me good!

cat90 08-25-2005 01:34 PM

Sometimes it does your metabolism good to have a blow out like that Frus ;) sounds good to me :T

shush 08-25-2005 02:04 PM

mini breakthrough

:) Really hungry this pm so instead of trying to be good and resisting the urge to eat a choc biscuit , I took phats advice and i had it (and a cheese sandwich :o ) without feeling guilty or beating myself up about and that was it. Doesn't seem like a big deal does it? but this is the first time I've not went on a binge for the rest of the day and I feel in total control of my eating.
Thanks guys :D

LynneA 08-25-2005 03:05 PM

Well I've had an extremely busy couple of weeks so haven't had chance to post :(.

Back on plan for now, still haven't lost any more weight! Have eaten really good so far today and tonight is my 3rd gym night of the week so looking forward to some treadmill work and weights.

It's good to see everyone is doing well :).

I've now found them in TK Maxx for about £20 so all is not lost. And to think we looked everywhere on Saturday :?:

I bought just one more top today, in the other branch of Warehouse. It says "nobody's perfect, but I'm pretty close" on the front

kykaree 08-25-2005 05:07 PM

LOL great slogan on the t-shirt! We should have gone to TKMaxx. Except I have no will power as far as that particular shop goes!!!!

2frustrated 08-25-2005 05:13 PM

I have a total mental block in TK Maxx, I can never find ANYTHING! YP I am with you on the Levis however, they are gonna be a "skinny" purchase when I'm a bit trimmer! I'm also really hankering after a pair of Seven for all mankind jeans, but I might save them for when I go off to the states next... Or Cat could start shipping them over too!

Shush - well done on the "no biggie" about the food! I'm totally with you on that. My chips were "no biggie" at all and usually they'd set me off eating everything in sight!

Hi Lynne, welcome back! Keep on keeping on! I keep having to tell myself that!

Cat - don't worry about the Halloween Candy, Christmas chocs will be in the shops after the bank holiday! NARGH!
