Mad March Hare Bouncey Exercise Thread
Am off to kickboxing in half an hour. I've been waiting for a courier all day (still hasn't turned up....) so need to vent my frustration at somebody!

Courier turned up at 5.15 pm. I was told before 12, then when I rang up at 4pm I was told before 5pm :mad: :devil:
Went kickboxing as soon as parcel was handed over, sprint cycled there and got there in about 10mins, when it usually takes me about 20! Did wrestling (I can't do it too much physical! Hitting people, fine, but when it comes to rolling round on the floor, no thanks!! :lol3: ) |
30mins of computer bike yesterday :cp: nowt today :dunno:

Fresh start today and so made a big effort to do some exercise and did about 20 mins on my total gym. I can feel it in my legs and arms now, so I must have done something right!

Well, I didn't go to Boxercise this evening, just felt too tired and couldn't find the motivation plus I'm aching from my total gym yesterday (I know, I know, the exercise would probably have helped the muscles) but I just couldn't face it. BUT I did do 7 minutes on my mini-trampoline, which doesn't sound a lot I know, but it's really hard work for an out-of-condition woman like me, and it's the longest I've done - I'm working up to 10 mins a day.

Yesterday: about 45mins kickboxing. Sprained my little toe on someones elbow!

Oh Frus - that's not good, sending you a big hug :grouphug: how long will that take to heal? Are you hobbling around? I don't suppose there's much they can do for a broken toe.

I swum for an hour this morning. One of the old blokes at the pool saw me today and growled at me, coz I was only there fifteen minutes last week. I laughed at him and said typical man, you think the world starts when you do, I was there forty five minutes before he strolled in!!! Very funny!! I love my pool. And I have done my ten thousand steps today too.

It's got one single solitary piece of elastoplast holding it together! I asked for crutches cos my limping is hurting my back :stress: Did I get any? Did I :censored: Stingey NHS!! :rofl: Anyways, am walking a bit better today. Was taken out for dinner yesterday and got sausage and chips brought from the chippy for me on Thurs :o At least he's looking after me.... :lol: |

Parked me bum on my computer bike and did 62mins tonight :cp: 14k :cheer: but a measly 138cals were burned :rollpin: oh well, i'll enjoy my caramilk egg in a min while I watch telly :D

Just done 25 mins on my Total Gym and my arms are feeling decidely wobbly, so it must have done me good. I just need to make sure I do it again in a few days, as 10 days have flown by since I last used it - the time goes by so quickly! That's my excuse anyway. I just need to get into a routine with it.

:rofl: i have the worst legs ever there so short and stumpy............but the knees omg there all lumpy and scarred(i was very clumsy as a child, fell over fresh air) do you get plastic surgery for knees?:rofl: dotty congrats on the total gym mines is used as a clothes prop in the room DH uses it once in a blue moon when he cant get to the gym, it terrifies me all moving parts and lose bits of ropey stuff..............looks very torture like, i always say if someone broke into my house theyd think i was into S&M if they saw it

I'm getting madder by the day. Yesterday I did my swimming, my ten thousand steps and a mini workout in the gym, crazy stuff. I did 30 squats with the fit ball, I am determined that in 2006 my rear end is going to leave the room the same day I do, instead of following behind me like a dinosaurs tail!!!!!!!!!!

:censored: I'm so unfit! I just did the taebo basic workout, and I'm drenched in sweat and absolutely cream crackered! AND I had to sit out some of the difficult bits! Eighteen months ago I was able to do the basic workout followed straight after by the advanced workout - and still have energy to spare. Not any longer! I could cry when I think how unfit I've become - my boyf (who henceforth I'll refer to by his name [Kim] because boyf and partner are too long to type) was reminding me yesterday that we used to get out on our mountain bikes every sunday and ride 18 miles to the START of our offroad loop, do the 16 miles off road and then cycle the 18 miles back. And it wasn't even particularly tiring! Now I know I live in Norfolk, and we're hardly talking mount Everest here, but even so, I must have been pretty fit, right? Now just getting the bike out of the shed brings me out into a sweat :( , let alone riding the :censored: thing! I know I have to take baby steps to build up my fitness, but darn it I'm an impatient :moo: and I want to see results NOW! I've vowed to do my taebo workout three times each week - I'm counting on you lot to keep me accountable, okay? :) Yours perspiringly, Janey |
Good luck with the Tae Bo, I have never tried it. I am hopeless at exercise videos, I get distracted and wander off!!!
I went to the gym bright and early this morning, I have signed up with the local council gym and had my assessment today. It was excellent, he showed me a heap of new exercises and seems really enthusiastic. I am looking forward to spending more time there. At the moment I use my one at work 3 times a week and swim three times a week, but the problem is I tend to do very little at weekends, and Sunday is the day I am tempted to over eat. So my plan is to do a long workout on a Sunday afternoon. |

Janey, don't worry your fitness level will get better ;) I know what you mean though :mad: I was able to jog on my treadmill and now that i've not used it for ages if I try to jog for one minute I feel like i'm going to croak :faint: :lol3: I'm anxiously awaiting delivery of my tae-bo tapes :hyper: I went to getbootcamp.com and ordered Billy's latest set complete with "billy bands" :lol: it will probably kill me but i'm going to try :) my daughter has a great figure and i've noticed that since she took up tae-bo that her legs are really long and lean, mine will never be long :lol: but i'll get them lean ;) |
