Hello everyone...

I will be doing better this month!!!
SW 186 GW 178 TOM at the moment and my weight didn't go up. I normally "gain" 2lb of water weight so hoping that means the scales will finally move by the end of the week :) I've worked much harder this last week to stick to calories and to exercise. Much harder to lose weight without exercise now I'm so "light". Stick of seeing 13 stone something though and now want to be 12 stone something and out of the obese catagory for ever. Also making a goal of being 12 stones by my birthday at the end of May :) You're so near to goal now Ellie :) :) :) |
This is day 7 in the giving up smoking household and things are tough; I still don't really want to smoke, just eat. Unfortunately I want to 'just eat' everything in sight, I found myself wondering what dog biscuits tasted like last night; not a good sign.
TOM is also due...:cry: I'm up to 145lbs from 143lbs last week and I'll be delighted if I can maintain the 145 to the end of the month. |

I made it back down to exactly 207 in the last week! I'm glad I can get started again from there for this month. Tiara, would you like me to do the weigh ins? It's a bit unfair for you to do two months in a row and if nobody else is offering, I don't mind doing it again! Congratulations touchmytoes! :carrot: all the best for the pregnancy :) Well done for giving up smoking Trudiha, that must be so hard. Just don't eat dog biscuits for heavens sake! :D And good luck this month Ellie - you're so close! Everyone that has lost weight on here is such a huge inspiration. I've changed my weigh-in day to Wednesdays now, so after tomorrow's weigh-in I shall set my goal (which at the rate I'm losing recently should be about 2lbs for the entire month... SIGH) Here's to a great month, girls! :D |
Hi guys! I'm new here and would love to join you.This website has been such an inspiration! Not really sure what to set as a sensible goal weight i will hope for -8lbs but am open to any advice on sensible target setting.

Best of luck. Hopeful chick, I tend to aim high, as it keeps me more motivated.... If you have just started dieting that should be achievable with the initial whoomph you usually get, but if well in to it, it might be best to aim for 6lbs, but of course it is utterly dependant on how strict your diet is, and how much excercise etc... x |

My weight finally goes down for the first time in about 6 weeks and the tickers are broken - typical! Now 13 st 1 (183lb), still TOM so very very happy :) Hoping my weight my drop a little more this week but if not 3lb gone at last :) Hoping to see the 12's by the end of next week. Back completely on plan now.

sorry i'm a bit late with my stats. Well on the 1st of march i weighed 151 but have been doing loads of exercise all week and when i weighed in again today & was 149lbs! whoop!
sooo SW: 151 CW: 149 GW: 144 one more pound to lose and i'll be in the normal BMI group!!! which is crazy to think as i was veryvery obese only 8 months ago. Also it will total a 5 stone weightloss :) yossarianlives i'm excited too! i LOVELOVELOVE biggest loser & bob and jillian - i've been pondering whether to buy the jillian micheals wii game, anyone have it? |
I've missed TBL too - so much so that I started watching the latest Aussie series of it in between, though I still like the US one better. Don't like the UK one as much as the sun never shines and it's all too reminiscent of real life then!

i missed tbl too.I was upset to see the black team dad go home . He reminds me of my own dad and i was really wanted him to win.. When i watch it every week it inspires me to keep on tract well ive been off plan for a while and am starting fresh this month thanks beescwee for the offer to take over but im okay this month. If youd like you can take next month.. Sorry ive been busy i finally did the weight round up.. I will check in and make updates as needed. This month will be a good one im hoping to be at the lowest i ever was 233.2 my bday weight.. Okay now i gotta go and get things done everyone have a good day.. |

and today down to 13 stones exactly so very very happy :) All the exercise in the last two weeks paid off :) Now a total of 9 stones of me gone :dizzy::dizzy::dizzy: Wish my ticker would work!!!!!

I've just returned home from an on/off month in Italy/France/Germany and I need to get back on track and drop the weight I've put on... so if it's ok I'll post my stats (I normally weigh in on tuesdays) SW: 198 GW: 190 I'm retaining loads of water from TOM and too much beer in Munich, so I'm hoping next week's WI will show a big difference! |
I didn't fancy my lecture today, so I went to the gym and had a 600+cal work out. I'll post my weigh in tomorrow :D

Is it too late to join in this? I am just setting out a new diet with some exercise thrown in so I am hoping I will have lost SOME weight by the end of March. I have no idea what a realistic goal is for that length of time, though... I'm 185lbs at the moment and would like to get down to 133lbs if possible but am aiming for 140lbs for now. If I get there I'll see about if I still think I need to loose the extra 7lbs...
There is still 3 weeks left in March so if I really go at it, I should expect to loose quite a few lbs in this time as it's usually the case that you loose the most in the begining of a new diet and then it levels off and slows down to a more gradual loss as the diet goes on right? (I wouldn't know, I've not really dieted before!). Does it sound realistic to aim for 7lbs lost before April? I'll say this for now and hope I get somewhere near it: Start weight: 185lbs Goal weight for April 1st: 178lbs |
curlywurly.. 7 pounds sounds reasonable.. only you know your body and what you are capable of. as for me i am shooting to lose the weight ive gained which is 12 pound. If i focus i know i can accomplish it.. If you want you could strive to lose 5 pounds if you lose more hey thats great.. in the end the choice is yours..

I tend to do best with quite conservative goals but everyone's different and I have been doing this since last August so it's slowed down a little.
If I aim for a pound a week and get more, I'm happy. I'm not sure I'll hit the 5lb loss I decided on for this month, because I've stayed the same with today's weigh in. I overindulged twice at the weekend (birthday) so I was half expecting it, plus I think I have water retention. I actually weighed a pound less yesterday, but today's the WI day so I'll stick with what I got today! Ah well, it's not a short month like February. I had a fitness NSV the other day when I had a train journey. My local station has two long flights of steep stairs and I always used to get a bit breathless by the top, but I didn't this time. |
