hiya ladies..just thought id drop in...ive managed to put about 5lbs on as im on bed rest!! cor!! but everything going well..i have another scan tomorrow to make sure everything ok but so far so good you would think however feeling sick most of the time would stop the lbs going up however lack of exercise is the reason..ah well...well done ladies on your losses

1lb off today making my CW 185. Was hoping for 2 so that I can put that 40lb lost avatar up, but what the heck, it's a downward movement so I'll take it! I'm going to be very busy with 2 work deadlines for the next 4 weeks - since I work from my house, the upside is that I won't be thinking about eating, the downside is that I might have less time to prepare nutritious meals. I'll have to see how it goes.

Sorry I didn't log my weight last week, I was in the middle of shopping, baking, entertaining and planning a week of London tourism for my visiting family. Last week and this past weekend saw way too much alcohol consumed, but I spent a lot of time on the trampoline/bike/climbing over stone walls and across fields last weekend and I'm determined to start exercising regularly again. Anyhoo, I weighed in yesterday at 193 which I was fairly happy about. I know if I'd stayed on plan for the whole of last week I would have weighed less, but hey, only 3lbs to meet my goal for this month I guess :) |
So, I got to a mini-goal today! 10% of my body weight lost! Super pleased. Its my last week of university (EVAR) this week, and I have so much due (a presentation on Gestalt psychology for tomorrow, an essay for Wednesday, and sooo much due of my dissertation for tuesday...) that I'm not going to get to the gym until wednesday, but I've resigned myself to this fact.
Anyway, I'm hoping to be into the 180s within the fortnight! :D Touchmytoes, I hope your scan went swimmingly! Sorry you're on bed rest, but at least it is an excuse to relax! |
Hi everyone. I hope you're all well. I'm trying to focus myself for the last few days of the month but I haven't managed to break the cycle of feeling that food is a reward - when something has gone well I celebrate by eating but equally when stuff goes badly I eat then too! Does anyone have ways around this kind of eating habit?
Sophie your pictures are amazing well done! I was wondering how did you decide what you ultimate goal weight will be? Or how has anyone else decided? It seems lke such an unreal number to me right now! Good luck x |
hopefulchick... i decided on my goal weight of 130 because that is what my doctor said is healthy for me but id honestly think id be happy at 180. But ive decided to see how i feel at 180 and take it from there...

I too felt really happy when I reached an overweight BMI - it may not be the final destination but it's well worth celebrating in its own right.
Stepped on the scale today and I'm another 2lb lower which is great to see after a very slow month. It doesn't count as my official WI day though so I'll just have to hope it's still that - or lower - by next Wednesday. It gives me motivation to behave myself for the weekend though. |

I set mine (11st) based on being BMI 22 just on the high side of the mid range, it is pretty arbitrary, and I am more or less pleased now with current weight, but that goal is in my mind, and I have to get there, which is probably a bit silly, but hey. Reading other threads, a lot of people seem to have kept going a bit once they hit their goal, but some have stopped shy of it - I think you just need to pick a number within healthy weight range, and then keep an open mind when you get within 10lbs of it ie, in your case when you get to 10st, allow yourself to consider the possibilty that this may be ok for you, instead of battling down to that 9 and 1/2, or maybe you set yourself a 4lb variation of between 133 and 137??... It's so easy to give advice, when I can't follow it myself!!! Good luck x |

I've gained 0.4lb this week, which is really mysterious as I've not eaten over my calories and have also faithfully been down at the gym. The only thing that's different is that I've worked a bit harder on the crosstrainer, but I don't know how that would lead to a gain. Hmm. Thanks for your reply it makes a lot of sense! I think it must be quite easy to get obsessed with an arbitrary number once you get close so i'm hoping to avoid that. Congratulations on your weight loss that's pretty amazing x |

Well, honestly delighted by this and a little weirded out at the same time. After weighing myself this morning, it looks like I've passed my monthly goal after all.
4lb down on last week. 4 freaking pounds! Which brings my CW to 181 or in UK weight terms 12 stone 13 (yay, I'm in the 12s). I guess I was 2lb down from my last 'official' WI for several days beforehand, but it's been so slow lately I wasn't expecting any more. Hope it doesn't bounce upwards next week! I don't want to see the 13s ever again. Fingers crossed for a good result for Sanna Maria today and Tiara tomorrow. |

Though I wish I was at 154, I am not - am at 160...! hoping for the 154 next month though.. Its just the ticker, when you get that close it doesn't show up the 2 weights!!! thanks a mill for doing the last 2... Maybe Beescwee and me can share? we could alternate weeks? but I don't really mind if you want to just do it Beescwee, either way!! |

This month has been quite a monumental fail for me in terms of my diet. I think I've put on at least a stone which, considering I've probably eaten my own bodyweight in chocolate isn't as bad as I could have expected.
On the plus side (I almost typed 'plus size' there), I haven't had a fag and I'm feeling motivated to get back on plan. I'll weigh in tomorrow and come up with a goal for April which will include checking-in with the fluffy chicks every day. |

From checking the list it looks like there have been some great losses this March!! :) :congrat: Trudiha, well done for staying smokefree and good that you're feeling motivated again :) I weighed in this morning at 172.2 so I nearly made it to my goal of 170. Weird that I had a gain on Sunday and then been having some kind of beginning of the week mini-woosh.:dizzy: |
I was going to do an official April/end of march weigh in tomorrow, but my weight today was 192, so only 2lbs off my target.
