Ah! I am cursed. I looked for my 18th (I believe I may be addicted to this as I have been checking for my kids etc ) and I can choose between 'true' by Spandau ballet or 'beat it' by Michael (OW) Jackson. I LOATHE both of these. Was going to check my 21st but feel sure it will be either 'Lady in red' or 'I just called to say I love you'. I'm familiar with both versions of King of the road, and neither does much for me.
I am going to chose my own...I'll have 'Groove is in the Heart' for my birth day. Will make me nice and young and it's uplifting too.

Well for my 18th The Reflex by Duran Duran was number one. I thought it might be Lionel Richies - Hello as that was the big hit that summer but guess the Duranies beat him. I was a big duranie fan in my teens, but always hated that song.

Just checked the American charts and guess what was number one - Hello by Lionel Richie - has some lovely memories for me that song.

I too am dead sad and have checked out the kids and Rays as well

Just checked out my wedding day and it was A Groovy Kind Of Love by Phil Collins - quite appropriate really

My wedding day
The U.K. number 1 on the 16th May 1998 was 'Turn Back Time' by Aqua
The U.S. number 1 on the 16th May 1998 was 'Too Close' by Next.

My 21st
The U.K. number 1 on the 31st May 1991 was 'Shoop Shoop Song (It's In His Kiss)'
by Cher.
The U.S. number 1 on the 31st May 1991 was 'I Don't Wanna Cry' by Mariah Carey.

Seemed to have fared much better on my 21st. Maybe should have taken the wedding day "advice"

Yep I'm a saddo trawling through and research too.

How appropriate is this??? The UK No 1 for when I got married to my daughter's father was 'I'm not in love' by 10cc and the U.S. No.1 on the 28th June 1975 was... Love Will Keep Us Together by
Captain and Tennille (not!!)

The day I had the daughter from **** (12th Sept 1978) the UK No. 1 was Three Times a Lady by the Commodores - well they got THAT one wrong!

ROFL - the UK No. 1 for the day Kevin and I first met (28.02.95) was Think Twice by Celine Dion
