It must be, Veggie, thanks. It doesn't say much about it - but it is in some sort of weird format which is for Canada and the US only.
My friend says it is 'special' but doesn't really go in to any details. She thinks it is better than other exercise videos - I just want to know what makes it so special. |

The Firm Someone on handbag.com keeps on raving about The Firm. I think you can browse without registering, but if you want, give me a shout and I will do a search and give you the other links that are related to this in the discussion thread on handbag.com. With regard to your video, so long as it has NTSC on the front of your player it will play US tapes. I ordered my Urban Rebounding video direct for the US and it plays fine - shame it cost £30 :eek: if the 50 minutes of the tape didn't kill me, the exchange rate on my visa nearly did :lol: Apparently the video is not available in stores, hence the hefty heart stopping price and you know I didn't convert before I ordered it and I am still living in the dream world where £1 = $2 :lol: :joker: :shrug: Hope this helps |

Thanks for the advice, BPB, I went to Handbag.com and had a look - and they do all seem really enthusiastic about The Firm. I might have a browse around the auction sites and see if any are available to the UK. Hmmmmm....... my favourite hobby at the moment....

I got to one bit that said the basic work out was an hour - doing aerobic exercise with weights - and decided that it probably wasn't for me.....

Cycling
We went for a 6 mile bike ride up and down the tow paths beside the canal today. It was a lovely afternoon and we all really enjoyed it, H moaned a bit, well he is only 6 I suppose but I really wanted to get moving today.
We got new gel seats for our bikes for £7.99 from Tchibo (oh how I love that shop !!!!) and what a difference they make, so comfy. I am going to make a big effort to get back to exercising this week, things have certainly lapsed over the school holidays......back to work tomorrow so lets hope it is back to the good old routine. Keep smiling!!:D |
6 MILES! WELL DONE, TQ! I bet your legs feel like jelly today.
I experimented with the Callanetics again yesterday.... has anyone got this video? If you have do you get a shooting pain down your leg when you do the exercise when you have to put your food up on a barre (back of the sofa in my case) and lean down over it with your arms down either side of your raised let and then sort of twitch your muscles? I think I will try and find a nice new home for my callanetics video... perhaps I'll try and get another yoga one - I love yoga! I ordered a Pilates book which should be arriving any day now - it'll be nice to be able to exercise to some music I actually like for a change. Don't they play awful music on these exercise videos? |
Legs like jelly! Whole body like jelly, ooh I feel like I have done 10 rounds with Tyson. I had to laugh even Harry was doing stretching exercises this morning cos he ached :lol:

Step Video
My step video from Choices had just arrived. Its very good to iron to LOL Seriously it looks good, you have a warm up and then 30 mins stepping using upper and lower body, then there is a toning section when you can also incorporate a dynaband if you wish.
Will be good to use this alternatively with my rebounder.. also, don't have to change my Bra to do stepping ;) ;) ;) ;) all for 2.1/2 quid!!!! |
This thread has been a bit quiet these last few days... is everyone still bouncing, stepping, walking, cycling, swimming or doing their exercise videos.... ?
