Are marshmallow peeps available in the UK? I'm putting together an easter basket for a young friend in England and want to include goodies that are unique to America. It seems like I saw the peeps when I was there last year, but I can't remember.
I don't think they are over in England although I haven't been home for a few years now, but when I send my friends there some, they love it and say that they've never seen them over there as yet. So Suzanne, I'm sure you're friend over there would be very pleased to receive from you at Easter Wish I could eat them too, do you happen to know how many calories, fat content? LOL!
Yes very similar if I remember flumps right, I think I used to buy my kids them in the penny bags at Londis....mmmmmmm, now I'm thinking about all the penny sweets at home, fruit salads, black jacks, white mice, sherbert flying saucers..... no calories in any of them of course, there couldn't be!
Don't know about the jubblies, but I loved the penny caramels you used to buy. They were like a big toffee and took ages to eat. They were made by McCowans and I now live close to the sweet factory. Which probably means they only sold locally & no one else will have any idea of what I am talking about.
What about macaroon bars - cococut to die for Was also a big gobstopper fan until I nearly choked once.

Ohhhh!!!! I used to love Jubblies - and all those penny sweets!! Before dieting I used to treat myself to 10 or 20 pence worth occasionally. The decisions about what to chose for my 20p don't get ANY easier in your 40s!!! My favourites are those large white chocolate discs covered in multi coloured little balls (I think they call them snowies).... but I'm not fussy - any of them will do.
My favourite sweets are boiled sweets, particularly Yorkshire Mixtures, pear drops,sherbet lemons etc.ooh my mouth is watering!!I love chocolate but sweeties (or spice as I call 'em!!) yummy, i love all those sour fizzy jelly gums too..........of course I don't eat them now (much)
Yes - they call them 'spice' round here as well (or goodies). TQ - do you call sherbert 'KAYLIE'?? The little girl next door was having a sherbert dip and called it kaylie (said Kale eye).
