Welcome back Piddling!

peacock 2 07-05-2007 09:42 AM

sarahann - if you are still lurking - I have messaged you as I managed to lose your emai! When Yorkshire is 'dryer' I will post the thing again.

Clydegirl 07-05-2007 01:20 PM

 We'll miss you Sarah.

YP1 07-05-2007 01:32 PM

 Sarah. Hope you still lurk.

I'm excited now, I've got my flight details for New York through, so it's definitely on :carrot: Now I just need to get going with the fund raising :yikes:

I'm feeling a bit rubbish this week. On Monday I really ran out of energy during my run, and I've been feeling a bit below par all week. Yesterday I only made it to 3 miles before giving up (and ended up sitting in the car for about 10 minutes before I summoned up the energy to walk back into the gym to pick my bag up and shower), and today I was starting to really doubt whether I had the energy to cycle home after work. I usually feel OK in the morning then fade really badly. Mind you today that could have been something today with the couple of glasses wine I had with a client at lunchtime. I did make it home by the way. I think it calls for another early night tonight.

I didn't even feel like celebrating hitting 148 this morning. That makes a nice round 8 stone gone, and I think that really is the lowest I want to go. Possibly a bit higher if it makes me feel like I have a bit more energy than I do at the moment, if this is more than just a bug.

 All round! Sarah - that is horrid! What sort of meanie would snoop on you like that? How nasty. :p

Helen - I hope you're feeling better soon. Get plenty of sleep and plenty of rest. How about taking a couple of days off work, and a couple of days off running COMPLETELY and just sleep and chill out and fuel up. I think sometimes we're more susceptible to "overtraining" than we think.

I got battered last night, but the good thing is I've set a date for my brown belt grading  :hyper: Which is the last week in July, so that will be fun :D

Sarah I hope you can somehow come back soon :(

Helen feel better, sounds like you need the couch for the weekend like Frus said just lay around and do nothing. Usually when I get sick I work out again too quickly and probably end up sick for longer that I would have if I had just relaxed.

Quiet weekend planned for me trying to maintain a couple of pounds lost.

Today I have to buy a stupid bike lock, I swear mine breaks about once a year.

Have a great day all.

Thanks everyone, but I think I'm feeling a lot better today. I went out and did 5 miles in the rain this morning, and I'm still awake which is an improvement on normal my normal state by this time on a Friday. I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunity for sleep over the weekend.

Welcome and well done kaz - you're doing well.

Thanks peacock! In aid of my new on-wagon status I've persuaded OH to take a brisk stroll this evening :carrot:

Unfortunately it's in the direction of the pub, but I will be strong!

Have a lovely weekend all!

I've increased my exercise this week and seem to have more energy. Just recently I've been in bed early but am staying up way later and getting up early ready and raring to do things.
Sarahann hope you come back soon.

I've definitely got more energy today. I did a 15.4 mile run this morning, and still have enough energy to think about heading into town this afternoon. I tried to be sensible on my run though, instead of heading off out into the country I tried to stick relatively close to bus routes in case I started feeling grotty again. There are quite a few places where there are woods and footpaths that run parallel to the main roads, so I tried to string a few of those together into a decent length run so that I was never too far away from somewhere I could stop. Thankfully I didn't need to (although I did chicken out of the last hill up to my house and ran a similar distance in the opposite direction (downhill) until I got back to the other end my bus route...

Piddling, hope you enjoyed the pub ;)

Once again YP1 and 2frus put us to shame. Well alright, put me to shame! However I did go out for a little walk. I met up with a friend who is looking after cats near the hospital so I walked around with her. The good news is that one of the cats that she had to take to the vets with ?renal failure is now much better. He is back to his bouncy self! Must have just been an infection. She knew something was wrong when he didn't come charging down the stairs to greet her, but today he was on top form! Apparently he and the other cat can open the freezer (so the owners had to put a chair in front of it) and one of them managed to break the lock off the door....

Well the walk did me good. Ok it is quite polluted where I live but I pretended it was fresh air. THere was a bit of a breeze and it was lovely.

I'm still awake! I'm planning to get the bus up to the dales and either go walking or pottering depending how perky I'm feeling tomorrow, hopefully the weather should be OK at least to make it an appealing prospect.

I ended up buying not one but two suits when I went into town (both size 10!), and then had a hot chocolate and a slice of cake, but that's balanced out by the run so that's OK. I'm going to have a pretty early night as the bus up to the dales is pretty early in the morning (or at least the bus into town to catch it is), and a bit of sleep never did anyone any harm...

I've just done a 10 mile run and BOY was it a struggle! It even starved me of appetite until just now when I've made sweet eggy bread and a nice cuppa. I think I'm off back to bed with my book.

I had my 30th Birthday on Wednesday, had a great day! I was suppose to be lunching with my friend-arrive at restaurant to find 5 of my other friends all sat there with party hats on! Was amazing!
Got in work to find my desk decorated!
I can actually see my weight loss in this! LOL!
Me and Smiler53 She joined up-but hasn't been on for ages.

Weight loss not going well... 18st 11lb, I've been 18st 10lb/11lb for about 6 months now, I lose but then I gain... it's like I'm stuck here! :( Still losing inches though as I can get in to a size 22 now. Can't sit down in it though hehe!
