Default Hair Dye

I have purchased some 'cosmic blue' hair dye. Its so dark it almost looks black. Now, im not sure if I wana colour my hair or not, its so long and would take an age to grow out. I have naturally brown hair, the light adds its own highlights. Do you thinks I should dye it?

Depends on your skin tone - I tried to dye my hair dark brown a few years ago and it came out black with a blue tint in the light, it made me look totally washed out and I'm not particularly pale, I tan easily and don't burn, I suppose I'm kind of olive skinned almost. Dark dark yummy chocolatey brown looks good on me though.

I am from a town called Hereford, near to Worcester. Oh wow, your only in stoke!
yeah its the XXL one. I will take before and after pictures if i do it.
the only thing puzzling me is if I dont like it or it dont suit me it will take an age to grow out of my hair!

Ah well, go for it! I have dyed my hair all sorts of colours and only had one big no no - I had bleached my hair cos I used to put crazy colour on it (peach, rocket red, pinkissimo etc) and decided to get a blue black dye - a mousse one. Of course fogetting that yellow and blue make green! Not a nice punky lime green either - a kind of mouldy moss colour. EEEK! My delightful sister in law reminded me of it the other day.

Since you have already bought it, might as well use it. However if it does look very obvious think of what you are wearing. You would look daft wearing anything staid and sensible with an obvious blue dye. Of course I don't know what you usually wear......

Indeed.
It should just add a blue tint when the sun shines on it - other than that the dye would look fairly dark.
I have a crazy fashion sense, so I am sure the clothes would not be a problem!
Here goes then, im off to dye my hair, fingers crossed it comes out ok.
lol, sounds silly i know, but its the first time i have ever contemplated dye!

Oh you are a dye virgin! Ah that explains your reticence! I have been at it since I was 11!

Ok, its all done. Here is a before piccie just so people know what my hair was like before:

and, here it is afterwards:

I must say I quite like it. In normal light my hair just looks black, but as the light shines on it it changes to a bluey/purple colour. Its brilliant, i love it.

What do you guys think?
