Well done Welshtigger, that's great news! I hope I'm going to join you this week with a loss!
For the rice pudding, I don't properly measure really, but I use roughly 2.5 ounces of pudding rice, and about 300 mls of liquid. I tend to use 250mls of milk from my allowance and then top it up with water if needed. You need to let it cook very slowly on the hob for quite a while - I test it every now and then to see if the rice is nice and soft. I don't add the sugar until I take it off the heat, that way it's a lot less likely to burn. Mixing in some frozen berries when it's in your bowl is nice too :) The last couple of times I have made it though it didn't turn out quite so nice so I have a feeling I may have changed my method, lol! |
Hello there,
WelshTiger-Fantastic 1 pound losss:carrot: whooo hoo Bits-mmm..hagen daaz i got some in my freezer :o who bought that i wonder:o Wlecome DolciFiori!!!:) Ladies, i really need a boost ALL my motivation is gone and in June i'm finally gonna be meeting this guy i havent seen in ages. I don;t want to leave the plan so i had this great idea to tweek it a little. I'm normally a Green day kinda girl. This week i want to go red i.e. high protein. I don't know why but i think this will work. The changes i'm gonna make are i want to add protein shakes to my workout i have whey protein shakes to encourage my body to build more muscle..Does anyone know the points of these shakes. I want to take one before every workout and add nuts and cheese as my healthy extras A and B to see what difference it makes. what do you ladies think. I really need to get motivated again. I just can't i don't know why ive put on all the 7 pounds i lost and am now back to 12.8 again. Do you ladies have any ideas? I'm going to be excercising 6 times a week now 1 hr swimming, and 30 minutes at Curves. I'm determined to loose my 4 inches at the nxt Curves weigh in, next month April 14. |
SWC, I think a change in diet almost always works wonders, so long as it's still helathy. I'm like you, always a green day girl, I haven't had a red day at all yet this time!
I really don't know anything about protein shakes, would you be using them to replace something or as an extra? The only shakes I could think of to compare them with are Slim-fast, and looking at the syns online guide, they're all 11 syns each! Pretty hefty! Maybe knowing that you're going to meet this guy again will be the motivation that you need...it's already got you thinking about changing things so *fingers crossed* Plus, just look at all the weight that you've lost so far...you're way over halfway to your target, and when you get there, you'll be able to just walk into any shop, pick something off the hanger and have it fit perfectly! Your exercise routine sounds pretty good too, swimming is great and you've got curves to help with the rest! Maybe have a think about what you would like to weight for June, and work towards that as a mini target :) |
Thank you so much bits:hug: .
I've decided to set my goal for June at 11 stone hopefully. So i did the whole red day thing wasn't hungry one bit. I like it very much so far...I'm starting a countdown to April 14. That's my next Curves weigh in and i'm hoping to have lost 2.5 inches off my hips so i'm working out twice a day 30 minutes each and cos i got star week and cant go swimming.Hope this works ladies.. |
are we allowed to ask for help with Syn values here? i know there are a lot of strict rules about p/word sharing etc and i'm not interested in that but i just wondered if anyone could tell me how many syns (if any - hopefully not!) were in a serving of Dow Egberts, Cafe Switch Smooth had?
thanks if anyone can help, and no worries if no one can :) |
I also don't have a clue about any syns..i like my free food and the syns i do have are always the same thing.
Of course you can ask here i don't actually know the syn value but maybe someone wlse can help.:) |
All Douwe Egberts products are between 3 1/2 and 4 syns on green and red for a 36ml sachet :)
Not had a good week this week. Have had to eat out 4 days in a row and drank 1/2 bottle of champers last night celebrating Mothers Day (shared it with hubby) Weighing in tomorrow so hope I haven't put on and have only stayed the same. Back on the diet from this morning :o |
OOh Antari that sounds like my life :D Good luck with the weigh-in!
has anyone tried the frozen weight watchers desserts? Like the double chocolate brownie, or the Banoffee one? They are delish! :D |
Half a pound lost :carrot: That takes me up to ten pounds. :D

Hi everyone, I just joined here tonight. I've been SW since January, and been doing really well, just got my 2 stone award last week. Just thought I'd join for some inspiration to keep going.
|
Well done on reaching your 10 pounds Antari!!!I always find it hard to eat out with slimming world sometimes i just opt for Nandos or any place with grilled chicken...:carrot: :carrot: :carrot:
Hiya Jennibellie your welcome!!!Well done on your massive 2 stone loss!!!! I was wondering if you ladies plan for snacks and treats or just go with the flow? |
I don't plan my snacks and treats, but I guess I always make sure I have something syn free on the go to nibble. Usually somethin quorn related, like sausages in the fridge, or grapes, strawberries and diced up melon. Today I have plenty of grapes, they are so sweet.
I usually have a treat size cadbury Dairy milk choc bar in the evening, I think 4 syns. I like to stick at between 5 and 7 syns a day, so most of my snacks are syn free. |
Hi Jenniebellie, well done on your 2st award...I'm still waiting on my 1st award! :D
Antari, well done on your 10lbs too...I love losing round numbers, or getting to round numbers, lol! Most of my main meals are pretty much syn free, although sometimes for lunch if I'm out and about I'll have a slim-a-soup with a bag of ryvita minis. My snacks are mostly syn free too, usually fruit. If I've had no syns for the day I may treat myself to a WW dessert, or if I'm away from home, I always take with me some Options hot chocolate sachets and either some ww cookies, or some of those Cadbury's highlight honeycomb and chocolate things (can't remember what they're called!) for a sweet fix at the end of the day :) I don't tend to plan them when I'm at home though, I just go with the flow, and make sure I have loads of fruit in! |
Hello, I'm new on here. I've started Slimming world a few times, but this time I have been going since January. I've had a few bad weeks so when I found this site it seemed like a good idea :)
