Hello all my TOPS friends,
I've been doing OK, but yesterday was an off day. Ate just about all carbs and literally felt sick and extremely tired. They weren't good carbs either. After I was done, all I could think about was that article....where the food doesn't unwrap itself....I am to fault. I felt so stupid for doing that to myself, but it's done, and I plan on being more alert.
Our chapter is having an Open House next week with the Round-Up theme that TOPS sent out to the leaders a couple of months ago. Members have been asked to bring in anything westerny that they may have to help decorate the room. I am making up a 'centerpiece' that will include a pair of old horseshoes, a bit, old railroad spikes,
pr of spurs, horse statue and a cactus in a tin can. All will be in a bandana covered bottom lined with hay. I will also wear jeans, bandana and cowboy hat. Invited some old members and put it in the newspaper, so we will see what happens. Hope someone shows up. We are going to do the skit in the program and I get to be a 'badguy'....always wanted to be one of them!!!LOL
Our fall rally in Oct, that will be held 70 miles at a neighboring towns chapter, will also include the Western theme. I think we are getting ready for IRD next year which will be 'Weigh Out West'. The chapters that are going to that rally have been asked to bring a Western centerpiece or decoration to show their 'style'. Hope we get good participation. Next weeks rally that I need to also go to, which is a 400 mile round trip, will have a 'fall' theme. I'm dreading the drive and I will have to go the night before and get a hotel room. Hope the weather will be nice so I can take in some sightseeing. It will be in an area of the state I have never been to. I need all the motivation I can get and hope to return some to my members.
Eleni, I'm glad you are getting rid of that extra water. Yes, it sure does make breathing easier. Hope you are able to get on the treadmill. Think I will join you and get on my bike. I have been horrible about not doing it....and need to change that! Keep up your never giving up on you!!!!! Oh, can you or Sherri tell me how you get in to put your weights on the challange thread??? I want to join it but cannot figure out how you can update it every week. Anyone????
Sherri, Glad that you are doing better too and CONGRATS on your loss this week. I know you have really been trying. Sounds like you have a great plan set for this week. Since your sitter is sick, it might be wise to keep Megan home anyway so she doesn't get it and give it to you. It's getting to be that time of year again.....aahhh-choooooo
Christie, glad to hear from you and am especially happy to hear that you are only one pound shy of your goal. You are one smart lady not to let it get away from you, like a did a few years back. Keep on the right track girl!!!!
To everyone else not personally mentioned, you are in my thoughts just like the others said. We are in this together..don't forget to post so you can get, as well as give, support to everyone here. Life is so hectic that we tend to forget what is important....and we are....keep being kind to yourself and life will reward you. Take care......
TOPS HUGS,
Summer
