HAPPY OCTOBER...... THE WEATHER HERE IS COOLER FOR SURE (NY) I AM PLANNING TO GO TO THE GYM LATER AND GOING TO TRY A WATER AEROBICS TOMORROW.... WITH BAD KNEES I AVOID A LOT OF AEROBICS....I AM BACK ON PHASE I OF SOUTH BEACH DIET, GOT A LITTLE OFF TRACK THERE BUT I HAVE SET SOME GOALS FOR YEAR END AND I AM DETERMINED TO MAKE IT, WANT TO BE UNDER 200 .. I KNOW THATS A VERY AMBITIOUS GOAL FOR ME, BUT I AM GOING TO GIVE IT MY BEST SHOT ( 28) POUNDS.....

A QUESTION FOR OFFICERS OF T OPS... DO YOU HAVE PLANNING MEETING FOR THE OFFICERS?? OUR CLUB JUST SEEMS TO HOBBLE ALONG WITHOUT MUCH PLANNING GOING ON, I JUST WONDER HOW OTHER CLUBS GET THINGS DONE?? ANY IDEAS WOULD BE WELCOME... I AM IN MY FIRST YEAR AS CO LEADER ...

WELL I BETTER GET OFF THIS MACHINE AND GET MOVING.. .TAKE CARE ALL AND HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND... BARB

Hey Barb,
I did the South Beach diet a few times and had great success...I know you will just do great! As far as the officers meeting...I was co leader for a few years and we hardly ever had officers meetings, we should have though

Hi Barb,
Best of luck to you on the south beach diet. If you haven't already tried the water aerobics - I have gone to them at the Y I belong to and they are fantastic. It is much much easier on your joints being able to exercise in the water and if you get a good instructor they can make it just tons of fun!
I myself am planning to give the sugar busters diet a try. I have to go grocery shopping this weekend (we desperately need groceries) and then starting on Monday will give it a try.
Well ladies I hope that everyone has a great weekend - my husband is taking me out for supper on saturday as it will be our 1yr. wedding anniversary .

I do not have officers meeting but I stay in touch with all board members.Either by email or phone. Most "planning" is done by me and then I discuss it with the other board members.Then it goes to chapter members if it is something for them

Christian, I am ready to start south beach tomorrow, a friend of mine is going to start
also, should be fun to see how we do.. keep each other accountable....
Kari.. I have one of sugar busters cook books from a few years ago, I seem to collect all sorts of diet cook books, lol. I like the magazine light&tasty... I just tried a recipe for cranberry/flax muffins, they are very good..... yum
Eleni.. My leader lives in another town, I rarely hear from her at all... I do talk to her before and after meetings, I dont call her because she works nights, I would not want to wake her, I work days.. I do think I will write down my thoughts during the week and see if that helps... I am slowly organizing the files at the site... I dont think they ever kept up the records and need to be sorted out, that is something I can do when not filling in for someone else....
