Morning ladies!!!!

Wow I cant believe I have made it 10 full days now without sugar!!
I feel great about that and know my body will thank me later

So how is everyone else doing this fine day????

Congrats to you!!! That sounds awesome!!

Well I am doing horrible and in the 190s I have allowed myself to gain 30lbs and I still can't believe it... But I have been working on moving it back down

I have been thinking about you alot lately girl
I know how it is to gain back the weight too, I was in the 140s just a couple years ago and then went back to the 170s and it seemed to happen overnight!! I hate that!!!!! I remember you did really awsome on South Beach last year and thats one of the motivations for me to start back on it this time...I also got Sherri to start it yesterday and mom (Eleni) has been on it for a while now...why not join us??? We will be here to support you ..besdies we need you here girl, we miss you toooo much when you are gone

Hello All,
On a quick break for lunch. I'm having a good week so far with the food and exercise. I'm finding out that as long as I look at it as a lifestyle then I do ok. It's when I think "I've got to get busy and get this weight off" that I seem to want to overeat. What's that all about anyway?!

Christian: Good job with getting off the sugar. I know that I usually feel bad the first couple of days, but then I start to feel really good. Got to ask myself why I will sometimes pour it in again when I know that I feel better without it!

Penny: Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start over again. You can do it!

Penny Don't beat yourself up over gaining.We have all done it including beating ourselves up. It is so amazing how fast it can come back on.Then it takes us forever to get it off. But we know it can be done.
The SB is the "in" diet right now.And for a good reason.It is a good healthy sensible diet that many doctors are recommending.. It works different for different people.Some lose good right away and some are slower.But if you eat like it tells you to the pounds will slowly come off.And you will feel better.Just have to get it time .
But there are other good ones too like WW which works wonders for some people. Just find the one that works for you.If you did SB before and it worked that would be a good starting point.
I am a little under the weather today.Did go into pool to exercise but didn't stay long.Pool was cool and it was cloudy which made me feel colder plus I just didn't feel good. I decided it was best for me to rest and take it easy today.My scale is all over place so no telling where it will be Thursday.
I am making me a big pot of chopped up cabbage,chicken broth with a lot of garlic thrown in soup. Will soothe the throat and chicken broth always tastes good with a cold. And I don't have to put my teeth in to eat it
Have a good day and stay cool.There are some really hot temps out there now that summer is officially here.
Ok recliner here I come

I have GOT to get out of this vacation mentality! I keep sneaking bad foods (including fast food ) and thinking, "it's okay, I'm going on vacation this week, so I won't have to weigh in at TOPS until next week, so I have till then to worry about the scale..." BAD attitude! Bad, bad Jill! I also have way too much to do this week (well, today and yesterday since I am leaving for Georgia tomorrow morning), so I haven't been to the gym. I am legitimately busy, so I don't feel about like I'm making up excuses not to go to the gym, but I know I should be eating EXTRA well inorder to make up for the lack of aerobic activity, and yet I'm eating worse!

Alright, enough whining. I defrosted chicken a few days ago, and it is marinating in low-cal teriyaki sauce as we speak, so I know I have to cook that for dinner tonight--no excuses to go out to eat! anyway...hope everyone else is doing a little better than me! I've been thinking about going back on South Beach--I had some success with it about a year ago and ended up not sticking to it when going out to eat with my boyfriend. If I could just get through the first 2 weeks of Phase 1, I know I'd be able to stick to it a good 90% of the time, which would be better for me than the current 0% of the time! We'll see...ain't happenin' this week, though, that's for sure!

Well, 20 more minutes of work before I'm off for the rest of the week. Have a great week (and weekend) everyone!!

I have been there myself and I have been in a weightloss rut for about a month now. So busy that I haven't taken the time for me and my plan. So I hear you girl. But I know you can do this you have done it before and you will do it again. Lets start together. I started the south beach through Christie yesterday. I have done good so far on it. It isn't as bad as what I thought it would be and my scale is already down 2 lbs from yesterday. Lets do this girl.

Jill,

Don't you give up either. I know how easy it is to get into a bad mindset where you say you have time to make up for doing badly. I don't know why we do that to ourselves after having done so well for so long but we do. We are our own worst enemies I think. You can do this and remember that you are on vacation to enjoy yourself not indulge yourself. There is a difference. You can do this girl. Make yourself think positively and you will be better for it and happier.

Eleni,

How are you feeling now. That is great that even though you felt rotten it was important to you to get in your exercise. Now that is committment lady. You are doing great keep up the great work. I hear Bill is doing great to. What a team you guys make. One in a million. I hope you are feeling better.

I am the same way when it comes to your thinking about a lifestyle change and you have to get this weight off. When I start putting the pressure on myself to lose it I do worse it seems. When I think I am going to do this but it isn't going to happen overnight I do better then I take some of the focus off the plan and start living again. I don't know why we do that. Hang in there and congrats on staying on plan so far this week. It will pay off for you at the scale.

As for me I have been MIA but I have been talking to christie almost daily and more than once a day at that to try and stay on track. It is easier for me lately to pick up the phone then to try and find a min to get online. Then when I am on the phone will ring and knock me off line anyway it is frustrating. But I am doing great. I have had a gain and I am back up to 185 I was at 188 yesterday so the South Beach Phase 1 I started seems to be working. I went on that because of Christie I told her I would try it. It isn't too bad so far but I am only at day 2 so we will see. It won't be long before I am out there visiting her and I want to have some more weight off by then. We are doing great supporting each other it really helps.
My support group is going great as well. The 2 ladies that come here have lost 10 and 12 lbs so far. I am so proud of them. I have been helping out the one lady a lot lately in the middle of everything that I have been doing. So now she is returning the favor and is helping me out so I can put me first again. I have been running so much in the past 3-4 weeks it is crazy. I am never home and I have been sick and the kids have been sick and I have been trying to get the real estate business up and going which is a full time job in itself then I have the kids to. My business is in effect now finally. It is called SMJ Property Management, LLC. I have been officially approved for the loan to buy my Aunt's mom's house yesterday and I am working on a 3rd house which will be submitted to the lender this week as well. So that is where I have been.
I had my daughter evaluated at the Sylvan Learning Center and will be sending her there for the summer and part of the school year next year. It should help her reading a lot and her self confidence with the reading I am hopeing.
That is about it for me I will try and get here tomorrow to see how everyone is doing.
