Default How's Everyone!!

Hello Ladies
How is everyone doing? Tonight is weigh in night for me. So I am hoping the scales are good to me. Boy did we have alot of bad storms yesterday. Thank goodness nothing got messed up here. But in some areas there was lighting strikes and flooding. I know that lighting was awful. It was just kept flashing. Seemed like no bread inbetween. And some of it was jagged. And the down pours. I figured we would have some flooding. But didnt. Did lose power for about 1 hour. That wasnt bad.

Belle glad you are back on track. I know sometimes it takes alot of strength, courage and determation to do that. Been there. I know I will have to use all 3 this Saturday. Our friends daugther graduated from high shcool. So they are having a party Saturday. And I know there will be all kinds of tempting food there. But I have this braclet that I am going to wear. It says Believe. And I know that if I wear that. And look at it. I can think to myself. I believe I can pass this up. I believe that I have the strength to do this. I believe that this wont taste as good as it looks. And I will probably take me a snack bar of some kind to have for my dessert. Good luck with the program.

Well ladies just wanted to check in. And see how everyone was doing. And to let you know that I am thinking of each and everyone of you. I will try and post on the challenge tonight. I just hope I have even a little loss. So everyone have a wonderful day.
A TOPS PAL
COCO

Hi Coco.... I had my weigh in last night... I managed to lose 3/4 of a pound.... I have been in a holding pattern for 3 wks.... I set a mini goal for the summer, to be out of the 230s by sept 1.. that is just 8 3/4 lb in 2 mos.... We had a ceremony for winners of 2004 divisions.. I did win one for a 10lb loss last year.. I know I am taking small steps but every little bit helps

Here the weather has been really hot and muggy .. sunday it was over 90... and this is NY!!

Have a good week and keep up the good work!!! Barb/ INDIA

Arrow Good & bad

The bad is I gained 4.25 pounds Monday. The good is I worked out like crazy today. I won last month's "good" loser ($2.00 woo hooooo!) award. Also, they appointed (or elected) me as Program Coordinator. Hmmm I sure hope that's easier than it sounds.

Hoping you all have a great "light" evening. Where is everyone?
I'm back on track and trying to get out of the 230's too! Struggle struggle struggle

Hi everyone,

Coco...It's great that you have been able to say No to all that food. And you are right...Most of that food doesn't taste as good as it looks and definitely not as good as Thin feels. When I used to go into the grocery store and smell all the donuts and cakes they make for their bakery, I would tell myself that they don't taste as good as they look, and it worked for me.

Barb.... Congratulations on the loss and being a division winner. That is great.

Hotcupojava...Congratulation on being the best loser last month and on being the program coordinator. That is an important job. I always liked to have good programs. They can be fun and inspiring.

I read an article on ivillage that helped me this week. It was written by their weight loss coach. He said to weigh yourself first thing in the morning and look at yourself in the mirror without any clothes on and write yourself a letter (after dressing, of course) for no one else to see. To write about how you felt when you look at your body, what you wanted to do about it, etc. and to write a letter every morning to yourself. Well....I tried it and set some goals for the day in the letters. It has helped me stick to my goals these past few days. I have to try something because I have been gaining this year.

Good night.

Nita
