Default Good morning

Good morning all, How are you doing???? Our weekend was nice. Bill put in a new toilet and I was thrilled with that. I have been wanting one that is higher because the low ones hurt my knees. It even has a fancy lid that will close by itself very slowly. Now isn't that sick to be happy about new toilet. What can I say but that sometimes it is little things that bring us joy.
I had to call my doc yesterday due to breathing but it is much better this morning. The new water pills are not working well. But overall I still feel better since I went on South Beach.Haven't lost much but feel better. We ate out a lot this weekend and we are eating out tonight ,tomorrow I am meeting a friend for lunch and our TOPS dinner this thursday. A lot of eating out. I am getting good at asking how food is prepared and what is in it.Also at asking for substitutes which no one has minded yet.
I do have a bird story. On the way to a friends house in Tampa we saw 2 sand hill cranes with a baby.On way back we looked for them and when we saw them I did a U turn and we went back and pulled into driveway to watch them. When we got close we could see them good and there were two babies. We spent 30 minutes watching them.I am surprised the sheriff didn't come out. They were in front of sheriffs department . The young ones were so cute. I have seen sand hill cranes before but never with babies. We also saw two more adults in a parking lot earlier in the day. It was our day to see sand hill cranes. Our grand daughter Brianna who is 12 was with her and she was so excited to see the young ones. Actually so were Bill and I.
Well thats it from here.It will soon be time for SRD.I always enjoy it.

Good morning....

Eleni, sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. A new toilet is definitely something to get excited about, especially one that is mechanical with a lid that goes down all on it's own...very cool.

We had a very busy weekend here. Had both my kids(8 and 5) birthday parties this weekend(Saturday's party was for friends from school, and Sunday's party was for family). I am so glad that is over, talk about hectic.

I haven't been very good about staying on track, mind you have I haven't gained much either(thank goodness). I was down to 279 and am now at 280 so no biggy for a few weeks of not being on track. I am trying to get back on track again.

And the weather here has finally taken a turn for the better. Today is gorgeous. Nice and sunny(not a cloud in the sky) and supposed to go up to +11°C (51°F) today. Let's just hope it's here to stay.

Hello All,
I'm having a quick lunch at my desk today. I had to take my lunch hour earlier in the day so that I could stop in to see some friends who were stopping through on their way home to NJ from MO. It was so nice to see them. I want to remember to be thankful for the small things, and today I'm very thankful for my new job because it's the sort of job that if I need to leave the office at an off time, I can. I didn't have that in my last job.

When I saw our NJ friends, they kept commenting on how "skinny" I look. It was so great to hear that! Makes rationing those Peeps worth it! lol.

Sherri: Your bubble bath sounds so nice. You asked about my spa package. I think I'm going to get a message. I've never had one. What makes this really nice is I have another spa package for a different salon that I received last fall as a thank you gift for working a convention for a company. I think I might get the message with that one (and do it soon), then use the one that my hubby gave me for a french manicure and a makeover makeup session (maybe do it the day of my 40th b-day party in june..so i'll look fabulous!)
How's your detoxing going? Pour that water in there it's good for you!

Penny/Shortcake: I remember reading in a post that you guys were cutting out the white stuff...how's that going?

Eleni: I think a new toliet is exciting...especially if it saves those knees. Thanks for sharing the bird story...it made me sense the Florida sunshine.

Kncmama: I will keep your little one in my prayers. Thank you for showing your support and understanding about my friends baby. How are you doing with getting back on track?

Mickey: Those last 10 lbs are some of the toughest I hear. You can do this...it's just like the first 10...remember, those were hard to...we had to get used to doing things differently...I would say those last 10 would be in that same thought process.

Ladies, I've got to get back to work.

Oh wait..one more thing...here's a small victory from yesterday: I went into the breakroom at work and there was a cake...one I could eat. I thought about getting a piece, but then I thought, nope..it won't get you to your goal..which one do you want most. I choose the goal...victory for a day ladies! It's spurred me on today.
