Default Something to ponder

In my earlier post I told you that I had found some good things in my Fitness/Shape Magazines.

One is a formula to help us buck the trend of gaining weight over the holidays and to drop a dress size-a full 10 pounds, in six weeks.

1. Subtract 10 pounds from your current weight, then multiply this figure by 4.4.

2.Calculate your height in inches than multiply this figure by 4.6

3.Multiply your age in years by 4.7

4. Add up the answers to numbers 1-3 and then add 655. Round up or down to the nearest whole number.

5. Multiply this number by an activity factor:
1.2 if you sit at a desk all day, are unable to workout due to any injury or are too tired or too buys to exercise on a daily basis.

1.3 if you walk your dog twice or more daily, take the stairs whenever you can or exericse moderatley for up to 2 days a week

1.5 if you exercise for 1 hour at least 3 and up to 5 times a week.

1.7 if you are a hard-core runner, train 2-plus hours a day or have a physically demanding job.

Your final number equals your daily calorie limit to lose 10 pounds in six weeks.

I thought this might give us something to work for towards the end of the year.

Ok, I've done this formula a million times and I think there is something wrong with it. It gives me a big number and I know that it just can't be right.

I'm going to email Fitness and see if I get a response.

That is okay. Sounds like you are on a roll.

I have been MIA don't have time to address everyone. But hopefully this weekend I can.
I have been doing great with plan. I lost again this week. I am down another lb. The 2 little ones have been sick with ear infections so I have been living at the drs the last 2 weeks. Took my daughter yesterday for a yeast type infection/diaper rash even though she has been out of diapers for years.LOL Then I was at the dr for me for a check up. Then had testing done the next day. I go back in 2 weeks. Fibro been acting up so back to PT again. Counseling going well. My house got out of control so yesterday I got it under control and back in place, had the day off. Decluttered stuff cleaned up and took megan and the sitters 2 girls roller skating, megan to the dr and went shopping. It was a full fun day for a change.
Have to get off here am at work. Talk to you all soon. Miss chatting will get back to that again monday. Have a lot of running around paying bills at lunchtime so won't be here then today. Have a great day.

i just went through all those calculations myself and it tells me i should be eating 2360 calories daily!!! (i even underscored myself by using a lighter activity/exercise multiplier)- sounds like something is amiss- let me know if you get a response from the mag.
