Hi Ladies.
I figure you have all forgotten about me. It has been soooo long since I have been on here. But hopefully I can start getting back on. I have missed you ladies. So I wont stay long tonight. But I do have a question.
My sister bought me a 10 week plan at Weight Watchers at her work. I have only 3 more weigh ins there. But my question is can I still go to TOPS. I havent been going because. A couple of ladies said I shouldnt be allowed to do both. But a lady had the gastirc bypass surgery and that is alright. And there are a couple other ladies who does points. But dont attend a meeting. But nothing is said to them. I have really been upset with about this. I am even thinking of quitting TOPS altogether. So if anyone can help me out. I would apprecitate it.
I hope all you ladies have been doing well. I will have to go through the thread and try and catch up.

I tried to find out some real answers for you from the TOPS website! But I didn't see what I was looking for~

In my opinion, it is nobody's business what you are doing

You shouldn't have to tell them you are doing ww and Tops. That is your business.

But As far as TOPS laws, I am not sure if it is stated. I am sure Eleni would know the answer to that one!

Coco, I don't know but I think it is legal to belong to both WW and TOPS. The rules have changed a lot lately. And are going to be changing again after the first of the year. My advice is to ask your Area Captain. She should be able to answer your questions or get the answers from your Coordinator.
I think TOPS is there to support you and it shouldn't make any difference what plan you are on, just so long as you are losing. Good luck, and don't give up on TOPS, if your group is supportive. If not, find another chapter...most are there to support and encourage you along the way!
(By the way, it is good to see you on the boards again. Come back soon and keep us posted how you are doing.)

I am doing well, my paralysis is almost gone. I am almost back to normal. I still have some problems with my eye, but that soon will be okay, I am sure.

Coco, TOPS just sent out new 'Guides for Weight Recording' and there is nothing in it about belonging to 2 wt loss groups. Even the front of the new weight charts have changed. In the past, it used to ask if a member belonged to another weight loss group. Weight loss during that time was not to count towards the TOPS wt loss. I always thought that was strange..............so I am real happy to see that is gone. However, they have added a question about gastric bypass surgury.

Don't let the ladies get to you....some can be so cruel and witchy. You have a right to look at the 'Chapter Manual' and the 'Wt Recording Guide'.....ALL members do......in fact it sounds like your leader should update her knowledge and put misinformation to rest. If all else fails, do as Wanda said and contact your coordinator or area captain.

It's nice to see you back with us online....and how have you done at WW?

last year sometime they changed the rules and are letting you attend both. I know because i've done it. They figured they (tops) are a support group, shouldn't matter how you lose the weight. The do encourage the exchange program, but some people need a different kind of plan, and they realize that. The other thing is to me, it's non of their business. If others can do the point system, then why can't you go to a meeting. No difference. but Yes It's OK NOW TO GO TO A WEIGHT WATCHERS MEETING AND A TOPS MEETING.

Hey girl I am glad to see you back to. I have wondered what happened to you. Glad you got to go to WW I have joined WW also 4 weeks ago. I do enjoy it. They are very helpful I think. How much have you lost with WW is your husband doing it with you? Let us know.
